3 weeks ago I posted my 2007 Prius on Cars.com.

2 weeks ago while driving to Lunch I mentioned that the car was for sale.

Last week the Driver-side Front wheel bearing started making noise.

Today, the day before I pick up my Plug-In, I paid $350 to fix the 2007's wheel bearing.

SO, the Prius has feeling and got PISSED that I was selling it and Hit me in the Wallet !!!

LOL, you're lucky it didn't throw an airbag at you!

    Ken,

You are lucky. Our 2007 decided it was LF wheelbearing time last June at 65,0000. Its next complaint about the PIP was the engine water pump at 75,000. Hoping our PIP makes it to Spencerport in mid April before the 2007 comes up with another issue. Have a good time tomorrow at Dorschel. We will be jealous up here by the lake!

My 2007 Prius mileage went way up the week before I sold - I thought it was trying to convince me to keep (such a great car) - sold in one day - anyhow miss my car very much - my PIP was built 3/5 and my dealer says today no info on if on vessel - so I'm weeks without a Prius - sad that I let my 2007 go so quickly - should have priced higher . . .

I treated my 2006 w/111k with consistent maintenance and cleaning.

Even got it a new windshield befoe listing for sale on Ebay motors, where it got 10102, with the buyer getting the file of dealer maintenance receipts.

Treat them right, they'll treat you right.

I do all the maintenance and then some but there is no way to offset the effects of 5 months a year of road salt that Ken and I "enjoy" here in beautiful New York State.

Road salt? I've heard of it.....

It snowed in Atlanta last year, and the neighbors, who were from NY, gave me their snow shovel when they moved to S. FL, but it didn't snow this year.

My PiP is ready at the dealer, just have to wait for Friday to fly and pick it up.

Enjoy your Pip when it gets here!

I understand that here in California, road salt is never used, due to environmental damage. This includes the Sierra mountains, where snow is definitely an issue. They plow and use sand and require chains on vehicles, but salt is never used.

My 2002 Prius hasn't complained yet, but it looks so sad in the rain, having been bumped out of the garage by the new kid on the block.

Our Chrysler Town & Country (mini?)van will get the same treatment, kicked out of the garage to be replaced with the PiP in April next to our 2006 Prius. Just like yours the van decided to throw one more tantrum at us, after everything else that failed over the past few years. This time it looks like the clock spring needs to be replaced, need to take apart the whole steering wheel and airbag. Not fun, especially knowing that Chrysler recalled other model years for this problem, but not "our" year. Grrrrr

I won't miss Chrysler's reliability. Have not had any problem with our 2006 Prius, very low maintenance costs apart from having to replace the halogen bulbs. And some people wonder why Toyota is selling some many more cars than its competitors.

Save the shovel. Maybe next year. My sister lives in Norcross. I know what it is like when you get snow and/or ice down there! But, I would MUCH prefer that to the environmentally unsound plastering of the roads with salt around here.

Enjoy the new wheels! Hope to get our PIP by mid April - after the road salt is finally washed off.
