Anyone that owns or has test driven one of the C's, is the center arm rest adjustable? I test drove a C last night (second test, way better then the first test) and I tried to adjust it because where my seat position was the arm rest was useless. And if it is adjustable.....how did you adjust it?

yes, it is slightly adjustable. the top portion slides forward a few inches. it took me a couple of tugs but then, voila! now i keep it forward all the time. its a little more awkward to open but its ok. now if they would just fix those loser cup holders!

Really, because I was giving mine some pretty good tugs after the owners manual said it was adjustable but I stopped in fear of breaking it. How hard did you have to push it and did you use any special technique?

Were you able to adjust it while it was closed?

I think you can just push the top a little bit and it should slide forward.

    same thing on my civic

Does it slide forward enough to rest your elbow on it while holding on to the steering wheel though? I sat in a C at the auto show in January but that one didn't have the armrest/console in it unfortuantely...

Unfortunately you are still unable to hold the wheel while resting your arm on it, only your fingertips. That's one thing I miss about my fit, although the Prius c's armrest is nicer and you can store stuff in it.
