Hi OilFreedom, I hope to pick up my PIP around the first week or two in April from Toyota of Poway (hopeing it's on the Overseas Joyce). I noticed that you are currently charging a Leaf from solar and also intend to do so with your PIP. I also have solar on my roof and it's producing around 180 KW more per month than I use. This is enough to give me about two full PIP charges per day for free!
American Highway made it to port. Portland Bar Pilots AIS is down. Maybe we crashed the Bar Pilots servers? On call to leave at 1 am Portland time or well on call. Indiana Highway went from Toyohashi to Nagoya. Direct pickup from that plant instead of getting everything at Toyohashi? Delhi Highway now at port, not normally a US bound ship. We will see. ANDROMEDA LEADER did not appear off Baja on the way to Panama. Due the 16th? Pyxis to Benicia Wed. night.
That is awesome, bvoyles! You're gonna love driving on sunshine! ...Especially as you glide by gas stations!
thanks LT, my car shipped 3/3 as well, so i suspect i am also on the csav rio grey! sounds like around 4/15 at the dealer!:cheer2:
My car is on there too! PYXIS is headed away from the coast. The sea conditions must not be good. Probably have to wait until conditions get better. NWS San Francisco Bay Area/Monterey, CA GULF OF THE FARALLONES...AND CORDELL BANK NATIONAL MARINE SANCTUARIES... SOUTHERLY WINDS WILL DECREASE TONIGHT AS A FRONTAL SYSTEM DISSIPATES OVER THE CENTRAL CALIFORNIA WATERS. UNSETTLED WEATHER WITH PERIODS OF RAIN WILL CONTINUE THROUGH THE WEEKEND. SOUTHERLY WINDS WILL INCREASE ON FRIDAY NIGHT AHEAD OF A STRONGER FRONT. LARGE WESTERLY SWELL WILL MOVE INTO THE COASTAL WATERS OVER THE WEEKEND. Tonight: SW wind 6 to 11 kt becoming variable and less than 5 kt after midnight. A chance of rain.
Pyxis is about 4 hours off shore still. Lots of port traffic tonight. Waiting for an available pilot inbound. Soon it will be there soon.
too bad it arrived in the middle of the night and during heavy rain... i was hoping to get pictures of it out in the bay. there's a webcam set up in sausalito facing the city and it even has an overlay showing which ships are which, but it's been pretty socked in lately... Hi-Def San Francisco
I've been tracking Pyxis too! My Prius C is on there I am told that it should arrive down here to the LA area by Sunday.
Should I be concerned that the New Century 1 hasn't had a position update on the marinetraffic.com web site for almost three days? I was seeing updates earlier in the week. I'm not allowed to post a URL on this forum yet, but I was visiting: marinetraffic com /ais/shipdetails.aspx?MMSI=355234000 I suspect that's the one carrying my PIP. (The "in transit to port" date was 2/27.) Thanks! Joe.
No, there is no need for concern. There is a space of several hundred miles between the Baja California coast and the Panama Canal when the ships are "out of range". It will be "in range" for at least part of passing through the canal and then in and out of range for the rest of the trip through the Gulf and up the East Coast.
Ha you and me too but there is a lot of ocean between Baja and Panama. It usually covers about 450 miles per day, but may be slowing down because of the increase in traffic along the coast, so it'll hit Balboa right at the date, 19 March around 8 AM EST. It'll come into range then although you may see an update Sunday time frame.
