We may be splitting hairs, but the differences do exist. Of course, whether or not the end user notices them is a different story.

I agree. :) Except I would say that the differences may exist. I'm hesitant to use words that convey definitive messages unless I know for certain. :p

Thankfully in the majority of cases the OE equipment is worse than the aftermarket offerings so most people are happy with the swap. I read that Michelin has a 60% Repurchase rate among first year owners. So it is likely CT200h owners will replace their OE Michelins with the same tire. If statistics are to be believed. LOL

Ok. Bit the bullet and have ordered the the following, matching the stock 17's that come with the 2012 (whenever that will be for me )

    Momo Winter 2 17x7 with 5x100 bolt, 50mm offset
    Michelin Primacy MXM4, 215/45Rx17

So now I'll have to see which arrives first. These, or the actual car.

Thanks, again, to all of you who helped me with this.

My votes on the wheel/tire package arriving 1st but hopefully u get both on the same day so u can install em right away;). I got mine(rims & tires) in 2 days & you're in the same state where they ship from so I would imagine 1 or days max.

Just got an update from Discount Tire. Momo said they only have +38 offset for the 5x100 bolt pattern for the Prius. Discount called Toyota to confirm that this should still place a 17x7 tire within the wheel well, somewhat less than flush.

AZGeek, if I may, I know you're probably going based on the stock setup but for a better(as in more flush & aggressive) stance, IMHO, I think the +38 offset may be the better choice:).

No such luck.:( The wheels arrived today. :) But I'll keep them in layaway until the @#$&#! Prius gets here.:( I want to use the TPMS sensors from the stock set up and just transfer to the new set-up.
