That's a big drop. I assume you get about what I do which is about 46 mpg. I have only driven for about 6,000 miles in the winter months so I expect to average about 48 for the entire year. If I drop to 42-44 mpg when I get new tires, I will be sick. No Michelin Primacy's for me!

Since there is more than one Primacy model you should probably say which model and how many miles you have on them. All tires require a break in period and in most cases you will lose mpg when you install new tires because tread depth is deeper than the tires you swapped out of. This is the case even if you install the exact same model tire.

That being said, the Primacy MXM4 is not one of the better tires for MPG although it is a great tire in all other respects. Unfortunately you don't have a lot of good choices for ultra-low rolling resistance like you do with the 15" wheel. :(

    I have the Michelin - Primacy™ MXM4®.
I now have 22K miles on them. So far. little to no improvement in mileage

Great, thanks for the information. I really like the tires but the MPG doesn't seem to live up to Michelin's advertising. I thought it was just me. :(

What tires did you have on there originally? I may go and update my review to reflect your results as well. At least you are on very safe tires. :)

    You should post your odometer.

    This is my personal best.

Wow is right. I thought I was putting decent amount @ 10k miles in a little over 6 month. You guys are really getting your moneys worth in mileage but I guess that is what our prius's were intended for;).

Just curious, did you happen to buy the extended warranty? Or, anyone else with high mileage?

The more you drive each year, the less you will need the extended warranty I guess.

Looks like you hypermiled. The average speed is right at 41. If you drive a Gen II this way, you could get 60?
