    Cost does not equal value, but that doesn't change the fact that the Volt does not offer good value (I'm not familiar with the organization here that has given it top spot or the reasons why... I clicked a few links on their site and didn't see the formula behind it) because it's cost is too high--at least for the entire world population minus the several thousands who've bought a Volt so far.

    The same TVI said Volkswagen is the best brand in terms of Total Value! :eek:

    Consumer Report and others would totally disagree with that.

    All science/engineering here. BS Applied Math, MS/PHd Computer Science from Columbia Univ. Millions in R&D research, 10 patents, 8pending. 190+ papers. Some of my code was in the early linux kernels (maybe still is.. moved on from that) and in Siemens MRI machines. Been prof at multiple top 40 schools and done startups too.

    Although the thing is, the median is post-doctorate. Not all of us who are into early adoption are also going to be post doctorate or income in the $130k range... At least, I know I am not one of them.

    Median was only for the income range (more meaniful then the average being 170K. Median means half the owners make less and half make more.

    And yes being post-doctorate is not a requirement for being an early adopter. (Good thing or new products would fail).

    This month will cause a stir. The number is expected to be high due to the clearing out of the final 2011 models and rollout of the HOV-eligible model.

    AS In Applied Nuclear Engineering Technology; BS in Elementary Education; JD (law). I have also been certified through Engine Room Supervisor on a nuclear powered guided missile cruiser and to perform radioactive asbestos removal.
