    I do like the color.

Green in sunlight and light Teal in shade.

NOTE: I answered again because I thought I lost the first post.

Nope, no homelink in the base, unless you swapout the rear view mirror for the Advanced mirror.

If you step on the gas, the Hybrid System Indicator, HSI, will ramp up, go into the POWER range and the ICE will start. If you back off the gas, the ICE will stay on in Warming mode. At least it will charge the battery during the Warmup.

I wish it would just let the ICE turn off and only go into Warmup if you continue to use the ICE or use it often.

I think you made a very good choice. The Clearwater Blue Metallica is simply stunning! I am so happy with that color on my car.

I wish the RED and GREEN lines of the Energy Monitor were wider.
They are hard to read with my sunglasses on.

And when the Battery flows to the motor, the color should be YELLOW, like the 2007 did, and GREEN when Regen goes to the Battery.

So with just one excursion into Power range that's it for EV? What if you stop, say for a light, and the engine shuts down: does it revert to EV then?

It's important to distinguish between EV mode and running on EV. Going into PWR range means you are not running on EV (no ICE), but still in EV mode. During EV mode once you are out of PWR range, you will be back running on EV. EV mode only changes when you select HV mode, or if you run down the EV range.

    10) Dedicated display for (dynamic range) cruise control.
Right now, (DR)CC takes over the MID, which means no easy access to all the useful hybrid information screens. If you switch away, it automatically switches back after a few seconds. The (DR)CC graphics are pretty simplistic and should have had their own dedicated display.

Alternatively, if it could use a small column of the MID instead and have the rest of the MID dedicated to other displays, that would be a great software update to the current Prius Plug-in.
    11) Replace the MFD with an universal iPad dock.
The Premium HDD Navigation is horribly slow. Resistive touch is not particularly sensitive to touches. The display is not particularly large. There's lots of dedicated buttons that I wish I could replace soft buttons that I could customize. The head unit is also not easily upgradable.

A universal iPad dock could allow the iPad MFD to be upgraded simply by buying a new iPad and iPad dock adapter. It is much faster, much larger, and much higher resolution (with the new iPad), than the Premium HDD Navigation. Everything on it would be non-critical and the software could be easily updated over Wifi. The capacitive touch display would much more responsive. A section of the display could be reserved for "dedicated" soft buttons, so that each user could choose which functions they want to access most quickly and it could even default to the current MFD + climate control button setup. And with the release of the new iPad, it only costs $530 for an iPad 2 Wifi + 3G (for GPS). Owners could choose to spring for the new iPad Wifi + 4G for $630 and also easily upgrade in the future as well.

I second the light color inside. The Bisque interior especially with the Clearwater Blue I'm picking up would look awesome.

I would like to second the solar roof option for the base. Seems like a natural for the PiP. If not that, how about something a little higher tech option, like the panoramic view poly roof (like the Prius v) with see through solar cells built-in to power the fan.

Power tailgate option like my wife's Venza.

Also how about changing the A/C button to automatically roll down all the windows as you approach the car. That does more to get rid of heat than any few seconds of A/C usage. Maybe it should be software - something simple like use one of the internal buttons to switch between these functions. Or else the key fob will end up looking like a mini remote control.

Don't have mine, so I'll have to see about the other things like extended range. Or the EV/HV button on the steering wheel. I have a tendency to think like john that the battery seems a perfect fit for this car.

If you're in EV with plenty of Battery and you step on the gas and enter Power, the ICE starts. If you drop back into the EV range and if the ICE was cold, the ICE will continue running in Warmup with the EV symbol blank.

After the Warmup, if the ICE isn't needed, it stops and the EV symbol appears again.

I like number 11, but it's probably a long shot. Still, it is a good direction to go. Forward thinking and adds great flexibility.

I agree with number 11. This one is actually quite irritating. It's like Radar Cruise Control was added as an afterthought. Then we end up with this large, ugly, and mostly empty box with very little information instead of anyone of a myriad of other display choices. This is a very poor design. It needs to be improved right away.

Along with a better display for the cruise control, we need a simpler way to turn on/off the radar feature. A much simpler idea would have been to cycle thru the three ranges and also off. Easy. Clean. Simple to understand. Nothing to hold for two seconds.

    12) Dedicated odometer/trip meters display.
These the odometer or trip meter should always be displayed instead of disappearing based on the MID screen. This would make it more consistent with other cars.

Also, the miles to empty should be displayed at the same time as the odometer, so that the Trip button only needs to cycle through 3 things, instead of 4.
I would like the Prius v dash in the Prius Plug-in (no flying buttress!). Prius c Plug-in would be cool too.

    Hello Toyota...Feature requests...

First of all, setting the date on the calendar through the steering switches is an abomination. I understand that there needs to be a way to set it independently of the center console, but can't you please add in an additional way to set it using the touch panel on the console?

Charge level control: I live at the top of a hill and I want to have room in the battery to top off through regeneration. Right now the only way to do this is to fiddle with the charge timer. Very inexact, very tedious. Very unsatisfactory. Give me a simple way to set the threshold for when the charger turns off.

Charge timer interface. The dashboard button interface is a pain. How about a setup menu so that this can be configured through the touch panel on the console with a reasonable user interface?

Charge timer weekly schedule. For those of us on Time Of Use electric metering, it would be nice to be able to set up the charge times to match the TOU schedule, which is different on weekends than weekdays. Having a single charge time setting seven days a week doesn't cut it, especially when the interface to change the charge times is so klunky.

Maps App with Entune. This is one of my favorite features of the car. I like being able to use my phone's data plan to get real time traffic updates onto the map. However, it doesn't start up the internet interface by default, so I have to start one of the other apps (weather or stocks) just to force it to start the internet interface to my phone, and then the map app starts loading in traffic info. Why can't it do that by default? Did I miss something?

Back-up beeper. Why do I have to go to the dealer to get this annoyance switched off? I need to sign a release form or something? If it is possible to turn it off, why not just let me do it myself?

Need to update the road map.
My home is 12 years old. There is no road to my home on the existing navigation maps.
