For the cars on PYXIS which arrived at the port on 3/19, Dianne told me that the PIPs got off the boat first and she will see them at her dealership by this weekend. My C and I guess the other C's on the boat got off last and wont be in until Monday. Port was moving slow she says.
Looks like the Overseas Joyce will come into the bay in daylight. Here's some cam links. Hi-Def San Francisco http://cams.exploratorium.edu:8010/Roofcam/control.html Golden Gate Bridge Cam Best TV I've seen in weeks. Except the Pens games.
Hi Kids, Do all the west coast deliveries go to Benicia first, then south to Long Beach? Mine is said to have shipped on 3/19/2012. I suppose it is on the Altair Leader. Any insight will be appreciated. I ned to get my dealer (very lame) up to speed.
Yes, all the Prius carrying ships go to Benicia, then to Long Beach, then back to Japan. It's a 12-13 day trip from Japan to Benicia. Then a day or two more to get to Long Beach. So, add 14-15 days from the day it left Japan to get to Long Beach. From that 19th that makes it the 2nd or 3rd of April when it should get to Long Beach. [Added] ALTAIR LEADER has an ETA in Benicia of 2012-04-04 06:00 UTC - 11pm PDT on the 3rd. If that's your ship, it should get to Long Beach around the 6th. Someone at your dealership has access to the Toyota database and should be able to tell you what ship your car is on.
I got confirmation yesterday from my dealer here in Sacramento that my baby is on the Indiana Highway! Yay!
For those whose PiPs are on the New Century 1, its about 150 NM S from Jacksonville. Mine is, which is why I'm keeping an eye on it.
OVERSEAS JOYCE should be at Benicia now. The last information from the ship was a little over 3 hrs ago when it was about an hour from reaching Benicia.
OK, we just got back from a little run over to Benicia to catch the Overseas Joyce. We could see some car carriers and just a couple of PiPs as well as quite a few regular Prius, Vs etc. Got one pic of someone's new Blizzard Pearl PiP. Take a look... BTW this was about 16:30 local.
For those with PIP's on the PYXIS, I just got an email that my car was on the way to the dealer. That matches up with my dealer (Toyota of Hollywood) told me this morning. They said it should be there this evening or tomorrow. Funny thing is even tho' I got the email from Toyota, online status still says in transit to port.
My car was on the PYXIS also. Just got the same last email from Toyota saying that the car is on its way to the dealer in Tucson. I'm leaving home in the Dallas area a week from now to pick it up. My Order page on the Toyota website still hasn't been updated to show that the car "Arrived at US Port". That website has continually been about 4 days or more behind. PYXIS arrived at the port on Monday. Now it's Friday. Toyota needs to make their website more real time if/when they do this again. My dealer told me at noon today that the car was in "F" status meaning it was either awaiting transport to the dealer or it was already on its way. I got the VIN # so I was able to provide that to my insurance agent.
I agree. I don't see any reason the information that the dealer has in their database can't be available to us on the site - the ship name, VIN, estimated dates, etc.
Agreed, I remember years ago when I order a PT Cruiser when they first came out. the tracking information provided by Chrysler was phenominal. You knew everything about your vehicle at all times. Exactly where it was even in the factory build process.
CSAV RIO GREY - Vessel's Details and Current Position - 9494905 - 636014472 CSAV RIO GREY is underway again, about to pass thru the Panama Canal, Mira FLores locks. Another wave of East Coast Pips are getting closer!
saweeeeeeeeeeeeet!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i gave my daughter my prius yesterday, hers is at the local gas station with a for sale sign on it. i'm driving my dakota pick up, 17mpg.
CSAV Rio Grey coming out the other side. Very cool....My Pip is on that ship! And my car sold yesterday on Craigslist for 2K more than the dealer trade offer!
CSAV Rio Grey is in the waterway leading to the Panama Canal as of 03/24/2012 9:43 am; I'm not sure whether this part of the waterway is considered the Panama Canal or not (I don't *think* it is), but it's great to see the ship getting closer to its destination.
