    Hi all,
Just received a set of new horn kit from piaa.. Now wonder how can I remove the radiator cover properly for the horn replacement.. Or do I have to remove the bumper? Hope anyone with such experience can share their thought..:)

You will find two or three plastic "push" rivets holding the plastic top cover on. Using a very thin flat blad screwdriver, pull up on the centers. Thys will relieve the pressure on the expanded "fingers" and allow you to remove the entire fastener. The cover come off easily.

The bottom cover is fastened with "screws" and bolts that requre a 10mm socket or nutdriver. The two screws that hold to the edge of the bumnber are tapered sheet metal screws going into white nylon plastic inserts. The "bolts" fasten into the metal of the radiator support frame.

I prefer to place 1/4x1 inch OD "fender washers" under the heads of these screws and bolts, since the smaller OEM supplied washer heads screws will eventulaay cut into the plastcs and allow the plastic to shear off.

The "fender washers" have a slightly rounded and a sharper "cut" edge. I's place the fender washer so that the "rounded" edge is against the plastic cover. That way, the plastic is less likely to be cut and torn off.

Thanks mike.. My main issue is with the top cover. After remove all the plastic fastener, I realize the top cover is wedged between the bumper and some metal frame from the front side and at the side near the engine bay it is below the hood latch assembly.. So its stucked there, even if I have removed all the plastic fastener s ... That is why I start to wonder if I need to remove the from bumper...
