You can purchase the TRD springs and have them installed at port. With Eibach, you either have to do it yourself or find an independent garage to have them installed (for additional money). TRD doesn't void your warranty, whereas the dealers may make a stink about the Eibach. Possibly more testing miles completed by TRD.

 

Love my Eibachs...doubt you can go wrong either way. You can also install them yourself...it is not that hard.

They install them at port for free for the TRDs?

 

The Eibach springs will only void your warranty if they cause the problem so I would say you should be fine in that respect.

I love my Eibach springs too. The price for the TRD springs from the dealer installed at the port is much higher then just buying them yourself. That being said the Eibach springs are much less expensive then the TRD springs & as you said the springs are easy to install.

 

I ordered mine fro. tireRack.com but there may be better deals out there. Check eBay as well.

 

Best deal I found was from AutoAnything.com. They always have coupons for 10-15% off with free shipping too. I ordered springs for 3 of my cars from them.

I got mine for just under $170 & that was including tax because their based in CA.(ordering from other states won't get charged tax plus free shipping). This included 15% promo coupon, 10% holiday rebate from Eibach in addition they(autoanything) discounted 5 or 10% extra(I forgot) as shipping got delayed because Eibach(which is also located nearby in Corona, CA.) closed for a whole week during the holiday which they didn't know of so they gave me the extra discount when I called about the delay.

 

Amazon can also be cheap, but their prices change all the time. I remember one day seeing Gen II Eibach springs on Amazon for like $160.

 

Eibach Pro Kit is what I got for my 2011 Prius. The drop is nice but if you like the no gap look between the tires and fender you will have to cut some coils.

 

First of all, I'm not going for the slammed look of a civic or an integra but a more tasteful look. Secondly, there are springs from other mfg.(tein, tanabe) to lower "tire to fender" without going amateur-tuner route of cutting coils.

 

First of all, it was just a feedback of how the Eibach drop is since it looks like someone was headed that way :focus:

 

2-3 hours. If your DIY, depending on how handy & proficient u are 3 the fastest to 5 if your careful & cautious.

Be careful with doing mods on your Prius, the mod bug will bite cha and then all of a sudden you're going to realize that you can't stop...next will be rims, then tires then the rear sway bar...and on and on and on.
