I am very interested buying a 2007 prius. Kelly blue book has it listed at 14000 and the dealer has it sale price at 11995. This would be my first car buying from a dealer. I have a 1997 ford ranger with over 226000 miles on it. Its a good lil truck but with gas prices nowadays i need something better. My only concern is with the prius is that there are so many tech things that something could go wrong. I guess what im trying to say is the more you have the more that could go wrong. And I know prius have had a recall a couple of years ago. It only had one owner and from the carfax it look like it has had everything change at the right time. It has 94000 miles on though which scares me a little. So im wondering if this is a good deal or not and what about the battery pack in the back , is it still good and for how long?

You say "bought to buy". Did you mean "about to buy" or "considering purchasing"?
Any idea how many tech things there are in your 97 Ranger? Quite a few. There are tech things in all cars, and it's always possible for something to go wrong.
Sounds like you don't know much about what this recall was actually for. It wasn't one of those "tech things". Try doing a search and reading about it, the recall was overblown and not really a big deal.
Sounds about the same as any other used car with high miles. Look around the forums; less than an inch from the "New Topic" button you clicked were a pair of threads of owners reaching 100,000 and 200,000 miles. Read through those.
I don't know, I haven't driven the car, so I can't say if it's still good. As for "how long" in which case you probably mean "how much of a useful life does it still have", it depends on how it was used. It's impossible for anyone to say without looking at the battery. Look at the Carfax to see where it was purchased; that will affect its warranty duration. Try searching for "Prius battery warranty" and pay close attention to mentions of "CARB states"

The KBB price is roughly speaking the listing price in an area. If you want to get an idea how much these are selling for look at the edmunds true market whatever calculator or something similar.
