    I had a long lovely drive north to visit friends in Nevada City, left them after brunch Sunday ... in my travels, I stopped at Magnussens in Auburn and cruised their lot to see if they had any PHEVs (one TRAC car demo). I also detoured thru Sacramento/Davis to take the 80 down to Benicia to see if I saw any carriers at PORT... and cruised down to Los Gatos and visit my brother (Bill Lister with Coldwell Banker in LG) and we went to dinner at 8pm at the Los Altos Grill and then I drove home to Laguna last night... Y A W N am I tired!

    Have you seen the size of the PORT parking area for offloaded cars and trucks?

    (Use the Satellite view to see all the cars)

    It may take them a few days just to find a specific car in that ocean. Then, it still has to be outfitted, cleaned up and "finished". Then it gets transported, and then it will still take some time for dealer prep.

    Your guess is as good as mine, but my guess is it's not gonna be this week.

    No kidding, plus it looks like they can handle double the capacity from when that Sat pic was taken. I'm just trying to perfectly time the sale of my 05 Prius with the purchase of my new PiP. My PiP should have been on Altair Leader which was unloaded in LB last Thurs or Fri, so I was thinking it would arrive in Cabe in LB (dealer) sometime this week.

    It's not necessary to call me or email me about plate #'s.
    Ask anyone on this list who's had their car for a short while... and a few folks sitting at my desk with me when I had plates given to me, or a list with plate #'s:

    I really do stop what I am doing, even loading a deal into the computer, email everyone with plate #'s that I have in-hand, and then I resume my normal activity.

    Some plates are able to be requested faster than others. Certain things slow down my ability to procure plates quickly... for a few reasons. DMV isn't very accomodating every day, and since procuring plates also is the title process for the car, it's more complicated when you're using an offsite bank or CU - or paying with a personal check.

    See Dianne's note just above. I'm sure it's a good estimate. So 7-8 days from last Friday would make yours ready to transport this weekend, if you're lucky. If not so lucky, at least by early next week.

    Dianne, how good am I at weather prognostication?!? (and you should see how good I am at procrastination, too)

    While I was getting service on my 09 this morning, one of the techs took me back to look at their two PHEVs. They're obviously demos, but they're not on display yet. Unfortunately, they both had fabric seats and were the regular version. The tech said he thought the PHEV had the same interior as a Prius Three, so we looked up one of those. They didnt have any "advanced" models in that one, either.

    So, I will still have a few surprises waiting for me next week. :D

    I did get to feel the SofTex material in a Prius Four, and it seemed a lot nicer to the touch than I had been thinking it might.

    Stay dry and watch out for all the kookbiscuits on the road today!

    Thanks Diane for all your help. Just sent off my application for the green sticker. Don't know how much time you saved us between the ordering process, changing to leather seats, keeping me up to date, and helping with the various incentives available. (#50)

    OK!
    All my languishers ... and quicker picker uppers (LOL, someone will understand that reference) ... these cars are awaiting pick up this week/end:
    2215, 611, 421, 1938, 1003

    Coming next week/possibly this weekend:
    406, 2866, 2110, 2755.

    Still afloat:
    3930, 3550, 2996, 3937, 3749, 2869, 3172, 3659

    And, 9 total cars coming in available in May and into June for regular allocation. Was 14, 5 are already pre-sold... these are listed in another thread here.
