Today, my son begged me to take our Toyota EV for spin. With perfect Spring Tennessee weather, I agreed and we brought her out of storage and got her ready to hit the road.

When I rifled through the paperwork I got with the car, I realized that she pre-dates every Prius ever sold; that makes me the owner of one of the first Toyota EV's ever produced for limited sale to the public.

Since it's been years since she last rolled under power, I was concerned that she might not want to run but after a few hours of setup all while on household 115V, she ran just like I remembered; the compact, permanent magnet motor was very likely the inspiration for all Prii that followed.

A ture testament to Toyota Reliability!

LOL! Too bad the price is so much higher than a Hot Wheel, the payback period just makes it difficult for the average 10 year old to justify!:p
