Damn cool huh? I keep an eye on the ships status every day. I figure if it is on time it should come into land based radio range possibly 7am Sunday West Coast time. Then we will know a more exact arrival time. I am wondering if it has to come all the way up the river into port or if it will dock out further on the coast? Here's the site I have been watching the ship's status on AMERICAN HIGHWAY - Vessel's Details and Current Position - 9205976 - 351124000

What factory did your car come from? I am thinking it is the same as mine since being on the same ship. This is the factory mine was built in, which BTW is the non-squeak factory according to an old thread about squeak & rattle Prii, Fujimatsu. It should be a nice tight quiet car.

Same plant as yours. Just hope it gets here with everything like it is supposed to be with options and all. I know exterior color is right cause of the 070 color code but not sure what the interior color codes are. Dealers says its right so I assume that it is the dark grey like I wanted.

Dark Grey or is it Gray :p is code LB10. What accessories did you get? I added:
    Paint Protection Film
    PPP
    Rear Bumper Applique
    Lower Door Molding

I wonder how close to the pavement the floorpan will be with the PPP option? Someone posted the front corner to pavement clearance which I believe was 7" but what about under the car? Might have to never drive over a speed bump

I thought about those lighted sills. Maybe I should have added that?

You might still be able to get them added at port if you want them and if not they can be dealer installed. I thought they looked neat from the pictures I have seen of them so I got them.

I'll see, I could do the install myself if needed. I told my wife yesterday that I bought a ScanGauge II for the car and she was asking why I needed it and what is it :p I told her it will help get even higher mpg numbers out of the car. She smiled and said I was a nerd  I am going to do a full interior LED lighting conversion once I get my hands on the car. I'll mention the door sills to her and see what she thinks. It is my car, but she retired me 5 or so years ago so I have to go thru the approval department on most purchases :p

I'm thinking of getting the shark fin antenna but haven't decided yet. Also I'd like to get a JDM steering well but that is above my expertise level to change out so Ill probably forgo that upgrade.

The factory steering wheel is nice once you get your hands on it. At first I thought it was weird looking but with the buttons and shape, it works perfect. The bottom is flat so you can scoot your legs under it with the wheel in the lowest position even.

Let me know what you find on the Shark Antenna. I know there are a few choices available online. Prius Shop has them also I believe. The factory loaded whip is kind of silly looking. I only listen to my music or Pandora so a FM radio is not something I use unless I am driving my SUV in the winter.

I have to speak with a sign/decal shop on making a black decal to cover the white portion of my roof behind the solar panel and then if that can be done buy a black shark antenna. There are some curved edges up there that I am doubting can be covered in vinyl. I'll let a sign/decal shop tell me yes or no. If I can't get it done in black then I will go with a white shark fin.

Why she selling so soon? Buying a Sonata?

Well my guess on when the ship comes into radio range was wrong :( Still showing out of range. Bummer.

Hopefully sometime today it will be in range. How long did your dealer say it would be before they get it once it hits the port?

2-4 weeks :( Lets hope for 2 weeks. I was just telling my wife that fellow that works in the Camry factory said his car is on the same ship. She said we are nerds :p Hey you wouldn't happen to have a Geiger counter? I was wondering if the car would be a bit radioactive since all those nuclear plants melted down over there. I have a pair of old '50's Geiger counters but they take a weird 20 something volt battery :( I'd have to whip up a power supply to run them.

Now if that darn ship would only start sending location data to the shore stations... Too bad they don't use Sat comm's so we could see it's path across the pond.

Off to Easter dinner I go.

I hope so. I guessed way off on the radio range :( I wonder if they both will be on a train direct to Chicago or running separate routes? There are two ways, one set of tracks runs direct thru here and another runs south thru Colorado then into Chicago. My son and I were thinking my car would be on the tracks just south of our house :) My wife said what are you gonna go watch it go by ;) One thing I highly suggest is checking the lower body for scrapes from some meathead not understanding the cars are sitting lower than stock and hitting loading ramps.
