DIY JDM style side mirrors combo lights (Signal+Parking+Courtesy lights)

I'd contact the ebay seller and inquire whether he has the tinted version in stock and if not, whether he can source one for you. It'd be significantly cheaper through him than anywhere else.

A word of caution: Make sure the one you get has the white (not blue) driving/cruising light. The ebay seller also carries the blue ones, which are illegal in the United States and will get you cited.

That'll work too and is probably a better idea as you can tint them darker to match the Valenti SB lights. You'll want to get your 3rd brake light tinted as well.

The aforementioned link is for painted and you provide your paint code. He also sells them unpainted, which are $20 cheaper.

 

Best recommendation would be to check w/ a local reputable stereo shop &/or auto accessory shop that sells & intalls lightings.

 

Hows the Paint Job? on it I just got my Blizzard Pearl will it match? or is it best to get the paint done by a body shop to match?

 

I have the BP & matches pretty well where u won't be able to tell the difference(other people friends & whatnot think it came w/ the car).

I think I'll just order the lights from the ebay seller and do the tinting myself.
So White Light with Blizzard Pearl color # 070 right, do I need to specific anything else. Also has anyone have any issues with the electronics cause I did notice the Ebay seller has a no return or exchange policy.

No problem. Just make sure it is the white LED & yes notify when you pay that u want it painted (Blizzard Pearl #70).Nobody that I know or heard of had any electronic or any defective part pertaining to the mirrors from the ebay seller. The only problem I heard of was that the paint was not always perfect but not a major problem as most have not returned it & lived w/ the minor imperfection as they said it's not that noticeable. I think u will be very happy w/ it, once installed. I know I'm delighted w/ mine.

 

$100-120 is a fair & reasonable price that I've been hearing locally so $130 if done right & professionally is not too bad IMO.

Thanks everyone. I ordered them a few days ago. I'm stocking a few parts but I have yet to have buy a prius. My plan is to first mod the lights and then have premier clear bra the car with mirrors. For someone with no DIY experience, do you recommend doing myself or having someone like Tommy. I'm actually reasonably near him. So I'm waiting for the lights to be delivered before buying the prius.

Does anyone know how long they take? There's a message on the ebay store that he/she is out of the office until monday. But I emailed them my paint request and got a confirmation.

 

Does anyone know a shop or person in Arizona who could do this mod for me?

 

It's an advanced modification so have Tommy do it if you have no DIY experience.

Heres the Color match to OEM miller

Ill put a Day light picture tomorrow. Will put these bad boys on as soon as I get my Valenti SB tail lights and tint the LED to match the tail lights.

By the way 32k do I need anything else when I go to see Tommy? Should I bring Weather sealers as well?

Any pointers or hints on how to remove the mirror glass without breaking it?
