    Hi guys,

I'm looking to lower my Gen III this weekend and will need to rent or buy a spring compressor.

Just wondering if anyone can give me a quick answer on this, I found this cheap compressor at Harbor Freight Tools and was wondering if it work:

MacPherson Strut Coil Spring Compressor Set

    Thanks in advance guys!

Unless you plan on compressing more springs in the future, why not get the loaner tools free from Advanced Auto Parts or the like (Pep Boys, O'Reillet, Etc). They make you pay full retail value as a deposit in the event that you don' return them, but you get a full creit/refund when they get them back.

The fronts are McPherson struts (shock, spring, top bearing are a single unit)
The rears are just shocks as they and the coils are seperate.

I did just this, thanks for the info as I didn't realize they refund you the whole amount.
