    Hey everyone,
I just picked up my 2012 Prius with Moonroof package here in Canada. It works beautifully.

It looks like the Canadian cars, or at least mine, came with the HD Radio setup. Cool, as I can get some HD radio stations here in Toronto.

Anyway - I have an iPod Classic, and when trying to get the voice recognition system to play specific music, it wouldn't recognize any of my choices. Connecting up my iPhone - no problem. I noticed the iPhone synced track details, where the iPod Classic system didn't.

Has anyone else noticed this issue?

If this is the case, I have an old broken iPhone 4 I could use in place, but it would be a shame to replace my 120G Classic for a 32G iPhone.

    -Iain

Is the voice recognition command "play music" grayed out? I've noticed on mine that after I sync my iPod it takes a little while for my music to be reindexed, or I assume that's what's happening. Once that process is done, then voice command works fine. Until then, I just get a "try again later" message. This has happened with both an old 1st-gen Touch and a 120G Classic.

Interesting - no, it still allows me to play music and such. I got it to sync last night at 2am but didn't want to wait until it was all done, and today it's still behaving like it doesn't want to sync. I am wondering if maybe the iPod itself just needs to be refreshed. Could be worth trying and re-syncing.

So I got my iPod Classic syncing once again. I ended up completely formatting and refreshing the content on my iPod. I suspect something was corrupted on it.

How long does it take for titles and such to sync from iPod to the Display Audio system? I'm assuming quite a long time...

I tried it one more time with a smaller amount of songs on the iPod Classic - it looks like something is either toast in the classic, or the system just doesn't like my iPod Classic. :/

Doing one last restore and sync and we'll see. I'm not holding my breath. That said, a 32G old broken iPhone that works, will work better. :)

When I've synced my iPod, it takes about 20 minutes or so for everything to be reindexed, or whatever it's doing. Some things get indexed faster than other things. I think "Playlists" are available very quickly, but "Artists" might take longer. It will play music as soon as it's plugged in. It just throws all of the music on it into one big playlist and selects from that.

This is just my personal experience, and entirely anecdotal. Your mileage may vary.

I've also noticed that if I want to skip a song I have to wait until the album art is displayed before I can. Until then, I just get a message saying that it's trying to get info from the iPod and try again later.

I dont have this system, but, make sure the HU is turned off first. Then hook up the ipod thru the usb connector, then turn the radio on, then switch to the iPod. I have noticed in mine if I hook the Ipod up when HU is on, it wont play, once I turn the HU off and and unplug and replug the usb connect, everything works fine.

    I'll give that a try.
