    hey everyone!

had the opportunity to test drive a prius C four on the weekend and had two question about the heated seats - this would be to the folks who own a prius c four.

#1 during the test drive, i turned on the heated seats to try it out. it heated up, but after 5 or so minutes, i noticed the heat went away - like it turned off or something. so i switched it off and turned it back on and could feel the heat again for a short amount of time. is that normal? seemed a little odd to me that it turned off that quickly.

#2 how how does your seats get? i was frankly disappointed by how hot it got - it only felt warm at best... i am a little spoiled by my three level heated seats in my car, but still! :p

    thanks for any help!

it's not supposed to get hot... it turns on and off to keep the seat warm.

Don't have the manual, but wonder if "Eco" mode makes a difference with the heating capacity of the seats.

I think ECO mode makes it cycle more and use less energy but it may get much more hotter if its off ECO as others mentioned. For me i feels good and not over done.

It seems to be a "new" feature on Toyotas as my 2010 Prius' heated seats cycles the way you described (but our 2002 Camry didn't). It will cycle on/off which I assume is to conserve energy and to avoid burning your bum (at least on the 2010 Prius, I found it hot enough).
