Anything specific you want to know? I also picked up a backup camera off of ebay. Same "chinese" cameras that people are buying, but I bought mine from a dealer here in the United States. Took about 2-3 days to receive it. Same camera and price, but much, much faster shipping!

I had the Advent Navi installed today. Great screen with good resolution. The iPod, iPhone and Navigation system worked well. Question I have is the radio seems to take forever to come on. After I start the car, the radio does not start to play for two minutes. Is that normal? I also tossed my TomTom GPS for the Advent . The TomTom had traffic monitoring which allowed me to know where the tie ups are. To bad the Advent does not. I got a three months trial with XM from Toyota. XM would not honor that when I transferred my radio numbers , how cheap on their part. All in all, I am happy with the Advent.:)

What else did you need to get the XM working? Is there an additional tuner for that?

No additional tuner needed. XM is included, the JBL cable was extra, but the installer picked up the cost of that in exchange for my old radio.

The Advent unit require an external tuner for XM, as per Audivox's website and adcmobile. It requires an adapter to "turn on" the JBL amp (not just a cable).

I assume the XM adapter was "bundled" with whatever deal you got.

Do you know what your installer did for an XM antenna? Did you mount a new antenna externally on your car? Under the dash? Did you just use the factory XM antenna?

    Thanks.

I'm pretty sure it just uses the built-in antenna. There is no other location on the rear of the radio to plug another antenna in (unless it hangs off the separate XM module.)

Also, FYI, my unit is "for sale" in the Private sale section. I just traded up for a 2012 and they've changed the bezel color to a light silver and it no longer matches the radio.

    :(

Hope u got the backlight issue resolved. I had the same problem. I bought the advent unit for my 2011 prius however, the unit came with the 2012 firmware. Therefore, my backlight was not working. I had to update my firmware to the 2011 firmware. After I updated the firmware to the backlights are working great. Email meat [email protected] if you need help with the backlight issue.

I have the video feature enabled in my Advent Navi for the Prius. Therefore, I can watch podcast and you tube videos on my unit with the I phone. I was wondering if I get an Android phone (S3) will the video feature still work on the unit?

    Thanks.

Prior to the installation of the Advent Unit in my 2011 Prius 3, I found the amplified overhead console mic worked very well. Now, I'm stuck with the external mic that attaches to the Advent unit which is unacceptable. I believe the overhead console mic required 5v which ran through the original radio assembly. Does anyone have an acceptable alternative/recommendation to the Advent external mic situation? I'd like to go back to the overhead console mic, but don't believe the Advent unit provides 5v for this purpose.

    Thanks!

It has been three years since I had the Advent unit installed. It stopped working today. Audio comes on when car first starts then stops. Anyone else having this issue? Any suggestions accepted on how to correct it, or should I go for anew unit?
