Purchased Plus Pkg Lowering Springs

    That's not a bad deal in the end. Your car looks better, gets better fuel economy AND it rides nice. Don't be so hard on your setup. I enjoy driving it and knowing you are back in the 50mpg realm again is a good thing. Besides, how many people would take that on-ramp much faster than we did? Oh and just know I kept it fairly slow only because the tires had less than 300 miles on them and I was fairly certain you would freak if I pushed it too hard. FWIW I used to light up the tires about half way through the curve then drift onto the freeway in my old 2002 Chevy shortbed 2wd pickup. lol it was a pretty hot ride.

    LOL nah, I wouldn't subject my wonderful girlfriend to such poses and I wouldn't post her up on the interweb. Jen, however, is a great girl and is used to modeling so posting her pictures is no big deal. :D

    You need to give the new tires 1 - 2 weeks (or more) of driving to break in and clean off things like mold release chemicals that make the tires slicker than normal. Then judge whether they're impacting handling and traction.

    I thought break-in was a function of miles not time. I already have 450 miles on them.

    It is miles. You need to run them through heat and cool down cycles to help all of the chemicals bond properly and you need to scrub off the release agent. 500 miles is the often quote number of miles for break in but aggressive driving can cause this to happen with less miles.

    Bring 'em into a performance tire shop and shave them down :p Then go find a smooth clover leaf interchange and run some laps :)

    Update. I removed the springs on Sunday night, so the car is back to stock again. I am at 42k now, so I had the springs on for around 15k.

    Looking back, the ride was soft and unrefined. Body lean seemed more controlled at first but overtime, the car drove and rode like a worn-out mattress; I would not try this combination again. The car also did not stop as well with the springs on, which I guess has something to do with the bounciness.

    I think these springs were designed for the 17" tires and should be used with them for optimal results.

    I found this thread via a search.

    Do you mean that it actually handles better with the stock springs if you have stock wheels?

    I wonder what the rear anti-sway bar would do if thrown into the mix?
