Strange engine noise after minor accident.

    Do you have pictures of the damage to the car or has it all been repaired?

    If it makes the noise when stationary then the air intake or the engine mountings would be my first point of investigation.

    If the noise definitely a vibration or could it be a misfire? Is the car just running on 3 of the 4 cylinders?

    I'd still check the under car trays to make sure they're not vibrating on something they shouldn't when you rev the engine. But if it makes you feel better, I know a lot of my colleagues have had issues with resonating air intakes, though mainly on diesel cars.

    I turned off the cylinders yesterday but it seems all are working fine, significant rattles happened when I turned off each cylinder,

    I'll check the engine mounting and the lower tray, thanks a lot ,you are giving me a lot of ideas
