A Rain-X wiper flew off on the freeway today.

It's the correct fit for my 2005 Prius, a
Rain-X 5079281 Latitude 8-In-1 Premium Graphite Coated Wiper Blade, 26"

Any tricks, please, for keeping them on? It seems they might not hold on as well as one would like. (Can't examine it though, it's now freeway debris.)

When I replaced the wiper blades on my Prius last fall I remember they had to be yanked on pretty hard to get them to snap in fully. They weren't Rain-X, but maybe it's the same and you didn't have one fully seated in the arm.

Thank you for the reply, Jeff.

Perhaps. But one got loose a month earlier, and I did then yank VERY hard to get them to snap in.

And since I threw out the original metal thingies, I really want to stick with Rain-X.

The replacement pair I just installed snapped easily and securely and (unlike the last time) LOUDLY. So I think the original pair might have been defective; fortunately Rain-X made it easy to request a refund.

After good service (very good for the first 6 months) for more than a year, my 28" wiper came apart at place where they snap together during assembly. It was cold and icy and I was slapping the blade against the window to remove ice. I'm switched to Bosch Icon Evolution (not the super expensive ones). It looks a tad sleeker and uses metal, rather than plastic, where the blade connects to the arm. Works fine, too.
