    hearing non-stop Pump sound ??

(preface....I scanned several pages using several different searches for "pump noise" before posting this)...

    2005 Prius (77k miles)
Last few days I am hearing a somewhat constant (faint) pump noise while car is running...(like it's stuck).
Same noise I typically remember hearing when the car is initially parked (coolant to thermos?)

Any trouble shooting I can do with this?
    Thanks!

Edit-...I'm now reading articles about the water-pump replacement campaign ....can't remember if I already had this done...will have to check with Toyota

The inverter coolant pump runs all the time the car is ready, this pump is mounted just behind the drivers side headlamp (for you in the US). The pump may be getting noisy so that you hear it more. Put the car in ready lift the hood and see if you can trace where the sound is coming from. This is the pump that Toyota will change free of charge.

    Thank you for the suggestion....
I will do this tonight and report back!

Just called the dealer that did my recall items (Toyota Huntington Beach) and interestingly.... they confirm all recalls have been completed on my vehicle.
