Blizzard Pearl Tinted with 50% front and 15% rear

    With all of the interest in window tint I thought I'd post a few shots to show the contrast between Blizzard Pearl and 50% tint on the front windows and 15% on the rears. I used Llumar CTX 15% on the rear windows and 50% Suntek HighPerformance on the fronts.

    I have dark grey interior and when viewed at an angle such that you are looking at th interior, the windows appear very dark. When viewing the front windows such that you are looking straight through them and out the other side, they appear quite light. These are things to think about when you are trying to choose tint that is borderline illegal.

    The following pictures were taken in full sunlight and the cover for the sunroof closed. One shot was taken during the tinting process in a shop.

    I can hardly tell the 50% is tinted (except at certain angles) so you're guaranteed never to get a fix it ticket.

    That is exactly why I wanted to post the pictures. It's so variable and really depends on the lighting and angles. :) From a driver perspective it is definitely tinted but does not impair vision even at night. The 15% is a bit dark and those with weak night vision should look for something lighter.

    Thanks, F8L. I have 50f/20r on mine BP so a bit lighter in the rear. The black glass on a BP make the car looks that much classy.

    I agree. Your 20% looks even more classy. It matches the 50% better.

    can I please buy your black rims and trade! I did 15% all the way around working on getting the windshield tinted prob like 35% waiting on my doc to give me the note!

    Too bad you can't have a little darker up front. I have 28% ceramic tint all around & I will tint my front windshield with 50%. I've done the front with 50% on my Previa & Corolla & you can't even tell it's tinted but it helps with glare & heat in the summer.

    Sorry. I like the OE wheels. The plastic covers do not cover the entire wheel so some of the black underneath shows. It would look silly with the '12 covers on the silver '10-'11 wheels. :)

    I know. :( I would love to have 35% on the fronts. I wouldn't want to go any darker however. I had 35% on my 2005 Prius for 2 years then I got two back to back tint tickets so I switched to 70%. CHP hates Prii. lol BTW, those wheels look great!

    I find that if you leave the sunroof cover open it lets some light through & makes your tint look lighter. ;)

    Looks good. May I ask where you had it done, and which brand?
    I'm getting ready to have mine tinted too.
    For some reason it seems like there's a lot more umbrella stores than tint shops around here...
