Drove to Reno Nevada. When I arrived I was nearly empty
and filled up to the top of the tank with 100% pure
    regular gas.

I noticed after a couple of miles the mpg was reading at
least 5 more mpg's than if I was using 10% ethanol.

I believe that tank was at least 3 or 5 more mpg's
than 10% Ethanol Blend which is required Oregon.

I have a choice of stations selling 100% gasoline in my region. However, large regions in my state don't have any 100% gasoline. I like to meander & end up wherever I end up. Altho the states around me have 100% gasoline, restrictions in octane availability, location, marinas, airports, even card locks, make it imperative to carry extra gasoline, giving a 750 mile range. Just because I hate filling up at gas stations, I did carry extra gas in eastern Oregon once, even when I was using ethanol blends. With my restriction to 100% gasoline, extra gasoline is even more important.

I heard about one restriction in Oregon, but don't know if it is true. You CAN get 100% pure gasoline, but you have to put it in a gas can. Once you are away from the station, then you can transfer it to your car's tank. Anyhow, I intend to gas up in Washington state before I leave the state to go into Oregon.

I just found out there is a gas station in Chinook Washington
that sells regular unleaded gas with NO Ethanol.

Chinook is across the Columbia River via the Megler Bridge
from Astoria Oregon, about 23 miles north of Seaside.

I believe the price is a little steep at well over $4.00 /
gallon. Next time I am over there I'll will fill up
    and give it a try.

Seaside does have one station selling 100% ethanol-free gasoline. Go to pure-gas.org for the address & zoomable map. It says its Pacific Pride, but you need a card to access the pumps. Being the only station for many miles around Sea Side to sell 100% pure gasoline, it would be excellent to get a card!

Continue monitoring pure-gas.org. There may be a movement for more stations to sell 100% ethanol-free gasoline. The website indicates that in a month & a half, stations selling 100% ethanol-free gas has gone up from 4900 to 5141 which accounts for 10 stations in every 350. Hope the trend continues.

In large cities, the EPA restricts stations selling 100% ethanol-free gasoline for emission of nitrous oxide that ethanol controls.
