Too bad, I was hoping to see it, sounds like a cool mod.

I used black windshield sealant to cover the gap around my front emblem. Just mask off the paint, and be handy with a paper towel, and it looks like a custom-cut vinyl plinth. I have sealed many a Jag windshields like this in my day (those days were in the 1970's. Yikes.)

If the ebay seller is the one who also manufacturers the product, maybe contact them to see if they will do one for the Prius?

Did you order 130mm x 89mm, for Camry light truck, and it is too small? What size do you think will fit? .....The largest I found is 150mm x 100mm for front badge of Toyota Highlander, blue only, for $ 21.88 total. (y4481)

I bought the 130mm x 89mm and it fits the emblem as close to perfect as you can get. The downside is you cant use the black/blue backing with it so it leaves the large mounting holes slightly exposed. Some may not have a problem with it. I'm extremely picky and want it to look perfect. Finding the time here lately seems to be a challenge. Work long hours during the week at work and only having the weekend for family time, errands, and home projects needing to be finished. May have to wait for Rodney to get back from Hawaii to help me out with his vinyl guy to get one cut.

I just found 4 different colors at goodluckbuy.com, 136mm x 96mm for $13.77 each (free shipping). Do you think this is big enough to cover the gap or holes that are exposed. I just got finished taking the emblem and the black base off my Prius.....Sure is lots of mounting pins and clips on it....... I think I'm going to order this one (blue) for the front, since the front emblem is larger than the back.........I'm going to file down the black base a little, and the plastic chrome clips to give me more room for the light........goodluckbuy.com sent me wrong size, wrong color! Will not answer my e-mail. Starting over again!!

So, I also ordered this "Camry" emblem and just finished installing it. I did not use the red wire for the blue light, only wiring the green wire to the high brake light wires to come on for red light braking only. Wiring went really smooth with a couple "tap-it" connectors to the brake light. Had to drill one hole for the wiring out of the new light into the tailgate and then one inside the tailgate to come out to add length to harness up to brake light. No problems.
It was obvious the stock chrome emblem would not work with the 4 pins that normally mount to locating holes in tailgate, so I cut them off. I did not want to drill holes in this light and risk hitting the LED wiring, also they are not long enough to go through it to reach the tailgate.
I also wanted the back ground to be red, so covered the thing with "red tail light repair tape", which also is pretty easy.
BUT.. now there is no way to attach the chrome emblem, as there is not enough 3m tape to secure it to my satisfaction. So, I filled the back of the emblem with clear silicone adhesive, and once that is dry, I will put a nice bead around the outside of it to seal it. Easily smoothed after about 10 minutes with ice cubes.
I hope this is enough to secure it, but will be watching closely for a while.

so, all is well, but last night looking at it in the dark, when lit up, it is emblazoned with "3M" repeatedly, printed on the backing from the adhesive. I see no way to eliminate that and wonder how it could have been prevented now, surely all the backing was off in its assembly or it wouldn't stick. So it must be hidden in the backer material. And it is BRIGHT, the entire back end is RED!

Thanks for following up and getting to it before I've had a chance. It just seems like there's not enough hours in the day anymore. I got the black backing sticker cut for me. Just waiting now to seriously have the time to put it on. Hoping maybe Tuesday sometime now that I have that day off. Post some pics. We all want to see!!

That would make sense if using it as another brake light. Do you have any idea if the blue light is just as bright?

Thanks for the update. I see now the size difference between this Camry emblem and the one on the 2012 Prius. Bummer to hear about the 3M logo. I will look into masking that off to see if it can be made less noticeable. Either that or I will try to remove the current adhesive and replace with something else.

OK, finally got some pics this morning, haven't had a chance to do it in the dark. So this is from 6 AM cloudy, but still pretty bright, as you can see it spreading out through the sides also. If you look real close, you can see the 3M logo appearing. Not visible when the light is not on tho, just appears through the red tail light tape when lit up. Yes, the blue light is just as bright, but as mentioned I did not wire that to be on.

It comes off. He just forgot to remove it from both sides. It should be clear in the open spaces of the emblem. One of these days, I swear I'll have the time. Between working long hours at work and house work trying to get the most out of this appraisal for a home loan it is just taking up too much of my time. I gotta have my dream garage built. It has priority.

I ordered the MBro lights through Rakuten. It's a little difficult to set up an account and order but there are places on there that will ship to the US. The DRL kit is from webelectricproducts.com. It's for. The Gen. II but works just the same. All the colors are pretty much the same. Pretty easy to install. Hope this helps.

I paid $8.99 ( free shipping ) for red/blue badge ( 130 mm x 89 mm) for a 2008 Camry, from e-bay, j-mall, seller. It is a little small, as stated by shawnb 2. I did drill a hole in the lift-gate for the 3 wires. The wiring I thought would be easy, but one wire I could not find. Took car to shop!! The whole back panel had to come off; my missing wire was at the top of the lift-gate. Had to use about 5 feet of wire to make it work. Put park/head lights on, the BLUE light is on. Push your brake pedal, the RED light comes on. There is a gap around the new badge:( , so I used clear silicon to fill it. I wish the badge was larger, so I did hot have to use silicon; but it works!!;) I'm HAPPY with it :) !!

Got pulled over by police, because of my front and rear blue lights. Showed the police officer Texas law on what kind of lights, color, how bright the lights can be, ect; you can have on your vehicle. The officer looked at the paper work I had; and stated , " I don't know this ; Are you sure about this? " I said, " Yes ". The officer said he was going to look into this; and told me to have a nice day?

Well, the policeman didn't stop me after I passed him!! He must have read the State Law.

Please notice the red Toyota emblem light; it's tied into my brake light system.

    Here are some more pictures.[IMG][/IMG]

It's almost 2 years since I installed my lighted emblem badge; front and rear.
    They still work!!:D
The only problem is that the clear plastic on the emblem has faded a very light yellow.:(
Not much I can do about it. Texas HEAT, I guess!!
