Right over the guards? How does the molding on the guard look? Is there a obvious gap between them? Do you mind take a picture and show here? I really concern the gap between them. I appreciate it. :hail:

I agree with you but it's not the price you think it's worth it........ but wherever the manufacturer's had decided we should pay for it.
    Besides, it's a piece of " BLING".

Well all of the moldings I had available for sale appear to be spoken for. Thanks everyone or their interest. If any of the deals fall through and more moldings become available, I'll let y'all know.

HAHA! I went to Oriely auto and bought a 3M auto molding adhesive. The red tape looks the same but there are two different part #. The one I was interested was sold out.. This is what I bought

I cut small pieces and fit them into the gaps. Works great... Now my moldings look the way it should be. Amateur... Next time I will leave it to the PROS.

    Nice job.

When I installed all of my stuff (BSMs, LRMs, shark-fin, bumper guard), it took a couple of hours. I'm very pleased on how it all came out. Sure, there are a few spots that aren't "perfect" but that's only because I know where to look, since I'm the one who put all of it on. To everyone else, it looks perfect. But I'm sure the same holds true when you have a pro install everything - looks perfect to everyone else, but they know where the mess ups are.

Working with adhesives can be a bit tricky since you usually only have one shot before ruining the piece (unless there's an easy way of removing the adhesive that I don't know about). You just need to be super careful before applying the moldings.

Hey FUUFNF, I installed the moldings today. It took me about 3 hours because I wanted to be careful since this was my first time installing moldings MYSELF!! Just like you said, I saw some imperfect spots that I felt really uncomfortable but I kept telling myself the work was not really bad at least my wife thought they were great. :D

Exactly! I always try to be super careful when working on my car, everything. It's because I don't want to screw anything up, has it on my car and I have to deal with it everyday until I give it up...

Here some pictures after I installed the moldings.

Your installation looks pretty damn good to me. I doubt any pros out there could have done much better. Believe me, my buddy that works for TMS says that he's seen some pretty bad LRM installs done at port. Anyway, I'm glad you are happy with them. Not to shabby for just $150 right? :)

those look well aligned and installed to me. cant wait to get mine, never been much of an add on guy but these suit the car nicely, blending in the door handles and trunk accent.

Hey, I think I need to do the same thing since I have a few sections that does not seem to be sticking well (even though I cleaned the area with some car wash detergent, rinsed, dried and then used an alcohol pad). How did you get it into the areas that need it? Do you cut small pieces and then just use something small (like an eyeglass screwdriver) to push the tape onto where it is needed?

I just got the 2012 Prius Plug in in silver, and I'm contemplating these accessories. But, do you guys think the silver-on-silver would look good?

If it improves mpg then it looks good. If it doesn't then it is the personal opinion of the owner. :)

I agree, silver on silver is quite subtle. It is like the rear panel on our PIP's. It is easily distinguishable on all colors except ours! Not that I think they will look bad, just no color contrast to make them stand out...
