First off want to say Hello, I recently purchased a used 2008 Prius Touring, and it's been almost a month now an I am loving it! Before my Prius I was driving a 1990 Toyota Celica, which sadly was starting to fall apart. I am planning on buying some accessories for my prius and would love some input if any other owners have purchased these and how they are liking it. I am looking at Juiced Prius for parts.

    1. Prius Mud Flaps - I would like to know how people are liking these, if they noticed any change in fuel economy?

    2. Prius Spark Plug - I have read the reviews and some have noticed increase in MPG, would like to confirm if anyone has seen increase in fuel economy or any problems with these.

    3. Prius Shark Fin Antenna - Other sites have reported decrease in radio reception, but no complaints from this site, can anyone confirm this?

    4. Navigation Screen - Just to help with glare, kind of iffy about weather i should put this off, or just get as a birthday/Christmas present haha

    5. Chassis Stiffener - I am mostly driving on the freeway when going/coming from work, wondering if anyone in the same situation has noticed an improvement in handling?

    6. All Weather Floor Matt's - Current Matt's I have just move around too much, just looking to get the 2 front seats, don't really have passengers

I managed to find out how to disable the back up beep, which was awesome because it began getting on my nerves! haha From What I have read there is no way to override 2008 Prius navigation so that is something I wish would be fixed, becomes a pain sometimes. But I am looking forward to everyone's responses and input.

EDIT: I would also like to know if anyone has any suggestions to better fuel economy when it comes to the freeway since I am driving bout 15 miles one way from home to work

    Welcome.

#5 Get it and also replace the rear sway bar

#3 I haven't noticed a decrease in radio stations except K-Love, which is what we mostly listen to. If you do the fin, you'll need to add this piece as well. People that say they get less reception probably didn't add this piece. ;)
Cars that already have a shark fin from factory have this.

    Welcome!

Don't bother with special spark plugs. If you are due to service them then replace them with original equipment parts. I changed mine at 120K and they still looked decent. Mpg did not change.

For better fuel economy on the freeway:

    1. Slow down. Slowing down to 60mph should put you in the 55-60mpg range for that part of your trip.
    2. Keep your tires inflated to about 44/42psi
    3. Learn how to glide on off ramps. Time your exit so that you can lift off the throttle well before the exit and glide then entire way there then off the freeway until you hit the stoplight. In some places you can do this for over a mile and your mpg will really climb when you learn to take advantage of this.

Sweet! I'm at 86k miles right now so i'll wait 40k miles before changing spark plugs!

Yes! went 60 today on freeway whole way mpg went from 42.8 to 43.8 just the one way, people tend to speed around me but whatever haha

Will deff work on gliding off ramps there's 2 on my way to work but none the way back, I have also used navigation and found a faster way home that also gets me off the freeway sooner, since then my MPG has slightly increased
