I had my C tinted by Leo for just a week. There are some dust spots and scratches on the tints and I'm going to show him this weekend when I bring my PiP to his shop for other tint job.

I wonder what would you do when you see scratches and dusts in the tints. Do you think it's okay or you will bring it back to the shop and request a re-tint?

Here are the pictures I showed the shop, I saw them when I went back home. They told me not to expect miracles because these were aftermarket works. I totally understand, but may be I'm a perfectionist and these things got in my eyes...... :(

Pic1: A small bubble and dust orb in the tint. Update: the bubble was gone after few days.
    Pic2: Dust in tint
Pic3: Scratches, I can feel them with my finger nail.

What the heck? So you're saying he pulled her over cause he thought he could ask her out or something? That's messed up to assume that, and if she/you happens to be right, that's even more F'd up.

If you aren't happy with the work, don't go back there.

He did a great job on mine and based on service I received I would go back.

The bubble will go away. The dust may be in the tint, its hard to actually see in the photo.

You will not think about any of these three things in 6 months. You will get more "scratches" and the windows will never be as clean as they are new so you won't see the dust.

    Just my two cents.

Yep thats my guess. Hot chick in a Lexus on the 91 during the afternoon. He very well may have pulled her over for the tint, but I doubt it as it pretty light. And he listed no other reason for stopping her.

And I base this thought on talking to two motorcycle chp friends. They are still guys and cute girls will get more attention.

I was satisfied when they were done in the shop, until I was cleaning the windows at home. I'm still happy with his work, I think because he is the best in the area and I assume others could do worse. He said he would take a look first.

Oh please give me a break. There are hot girls everywhere in Southern Cal. Plus, 30% on the front two windows and 20% on the rear windows will give you a very dark cumulative effect that will get you spotted. It's douchey to blame this on the cop. Don't flatter yourself.

Whatever, I am entitled to my thought, no reason to be an nice person. How would this possibly be flattering myself?

Fact, she got pulled over for 35% all around and got a ticket. That's it. Not pulled over for speeding and let off with a fixit for tint, got pulled over for the tint. Reg fine with current stickers, both plates on the car, hell, even a baby on board sign on the bumper.

And no, 35% all around with a sunroof is not very dark at all.

Well, you can continue to think that it is not your fault and that you have a smokin' hot wife or just admit that you have an illegal window tint and rightfully earned the ticket. This is a great example of the problem people have with taking accountability nowadays.

Wth does this have anything to do with taking responsibility? Yes tinting is illegal. Yes I fix it if I get a ticket. I take responsibility.

I provided feedback to the topic of the thread and relayed an example of a personal experience. Disagree with what I stated all you want but I don't see how you are all of a sudden turning this into some society issue of shirking responsibilities.

"Well, you can continue to think that it is not your fault and that you have a smokin' hot wife or just admit that you have an illegal window tint and rightfully earned the ticket."

What does that have anything to do with fault? How could this be "my fault"? Or where did I say she shouldn't have gotten a ticket? I didn't. I related a story.

Yea, she got a ticket, yea I fixed the ticket, end of story. Is there really a need to continue this diatribe?

Formula One Pinnacle Tint Plugin Toyota Prius five percent Sides and Back
    5 percent

15 percent on Rear lower since it had factory tint on it already. The ratio looks perfect from outside and inside.

I mainly chose this for Privacy and 61% Total Solar Energy Rejection (TSER) rating

Make sure you check with your local laws about tint %.

I did notice a huge difference in felt heat, Very noticeable also noticed the Air Conditioner not working as hard.

I think I'm gonna grow up and give up on Limo Tint aka Pig Bait. I should of listen to F8L and 32K. Even if I got away with it for 10 years still stupid for doing it and a expensive lesson. I'm not a Hot Wife but do you guys think I can get away with?

I'm really liking my current setup of 15% and 50% (or 35%). After I had my fronts redone because of lint bubbles I swear the front looks darker. So much that I would almost mistake the front for 35%. So that beng said I am a fan of the 35% and 15%. 25% and 15% would look nice but I'd never risk it. ;)

FWIW I never received a tint ticket in my other vehicles with 5%. I even drove my GenII for a couple years at 35% and 5% with getting a ticket then I got two tickets back to back. I gave up. It just isnt worth the money or hassle.

The problem is 30% can look rather dark with 15/5%, but it's a safer route to go with. 30% all around would be even safer still. I'd still go with 30% as it's less risky for an immediate pull over compared to 5%. Take precautions like rolling down the windows and opening the SR whenever a cop is nearby.

    It's 40% like I asked him to do ;)

I'm actually not tinted yet but plan to do 40% all around. I prefer lighter tints on black cars and darker tints on white cars so if I had a BP I'd do 30% all around.

I had 35% on a previous black car and was never cited for it in the 10 years I had it.

Just got my Carbon XP a few days ago and I've had more people comment on my window tint than any other feature on the car including the wheels which rank number 2 on comments

The scratches are on the film (inside the window) and not on the outside, correct? I ask because I have some scratches on the outside of one of my windows (not Leo's fault - the windows were scratched from the beginning). Still, if you aren't happy, take it back and talk to Leo. I had some issues with my windshield tint and he fixed it, no problem.

Went with 3M Crystalline on the Front, Windshield Looks good, went over the dots, looks seamless right now, we will see when it cures as there was some complaints bubbles forming later on and then needing go around them instead.
