OK - please bear with me 'cause it's my birthday today, so I'm entitled to ask a few dumb questions (it's my gift to myself )

On my PIP advanced, I want to permanently transfer my contacts from my iPhone to the phonebook, but apparently every time either me or my significant other get in the car, it synchs again. The info isn't permanently stored. Is there an easy way, short of hand-entering each entry, to permanently store the contact info?

Next dumb question: do we have a definitive answer about navigating from our contacts in the phonebook? When my PIP synchs to my iPhone contacts, it only synchs the phone number, not the address, so, therefore, no navigation.

Thanks for indulging me...oh, and answers would be appreciated as well!

Happy birthday!! I can't answer your questions yet because I won't pick my C up until tomorrow but I can still wish you a happy birthday!

Search for threads on this but birthday basics are:

    1. Toyota can't read the contacts addresses. You'll get the phone numbers maybe one or two of the addresses will match Toyota's limited read ability but not many has been the experience.

    2. You have to put the contacts in as Stored Destinations to have them permanently on car and to be able to nav to them, you will have to put in the address manually 90% of the time due to Toyota limits on addresses.

    3. The car does store the phone numbers so if you did not refresh, the old read of your contacts would be there but it gets complicated because they are based on a phone so you can't see them without that phone.

Best and straightest answer I've received. Thank you!
