    Thanks to all the great members on the Prius Chat Forums, I made the plunge into a 2012 Prius v Five. Black/Dark Gray Softex.

    Reading all the posts convinced me to go with the v. I LOVE IT!!

    Looking forward to adding accessories and upgrading the speakers.

    Congrats...you're gonna love your new "v"....
    If you're going to consider tinting the windows...consider 3m Crystalline....expensive but really great.

    Thanks everyone. First thing I did was get it timted. I got to take a pic today and post it. OMG, the difference is astonishing to me. Cant wait to drive it today.

    Why did the audio system have to be so horrible? I need a speaker upgrade ASAP.

    Interior lights need to be changed to LED.

    Goong to paint the rims black and maybe paint the toyota logo on the center caps that hybrid logo royal blue.

    Sounds cool in the planned changes. For me if something had to be weak this is a good weakness. I'd rather this than weak mpg, reliability or safety. There are a few that have done upgrades to the audio system that you'll find in the v audio and electronics forum. I agree though especially the rear speakers.

    Congrats:) I have the same model - and was thinking of getting Tinting done. May I ask what should I ask for in terms of tinting, and where did you go, and how much you paid etc - so I can do the same please? I live in North San Jose, looks like not too far from you!

    I have had my car 6 months but was too nervous to get it tinted so that I dont end up making it look bad....Thanks!

    I went to Every Detail in Daly City. I know the tint guy personally. Let me know if you are interested. All my vehicles have gone to him. Lifetime warranty. In San Jose there are probably tons of places that will do it for cheap. But his work is second to NONE.
