Or the guy in back of me has to wear shades or his Venus transit sun viewer.

Noticed car in back of me at a light, the driver and passenger were holding up their hands to block the glare from the back of my car. Kind of dangerous. I want the guy in back of me to see my brake lights, see my turn signal, see my car.

Is there any kind of film to put on the back window to cut the glare. I don't know that tinting it will reduce the glare. Is there anti-glare tint as I'd like to tint back and rear side windows.

Don't have any facts, here, but I would think that any tint would just make the window a better mirror. Any light that goes through the rear window isn't being reflected.
Maybe there is a matte film that could be applied to the outside of the window.

Or just tape some cardboard over the rear window. Serves the same function and can be reversed cheaply (depending on the kind of tape used.) ;)

Anti-glare coatings like they use for camera lenses might work. Anything that reduces your visibility (all the time) in order to decrease the (very occasional) glare to others is not a good overall safety tradeoff.

Tint does that and people tint the rear window all the time. Also the term "visibility" when applied to looking out the rear window of a Prius III is term of art.

If I can find an externally applied product (like the InvisiShield on the iPhone) that reduces glare and provides tint, I might go with that to reduce the danger of Prius III causing sun glare and someone to rear end me.
