Master Warning Light

    Hello I have a 2001 Prius, my wife went and got an oil change and soon after she left the car shut off and the maste warning light came on and it now acts as if the battery is dead any ideas?

    Where is the car? (Determines if it is where you can work on it.)

    How bright are the head lights? (Gives an idea of the 12V battery state which I suspect is OK if you have a display showing the master alarm light.)

    How long have you owned the car? (Gives and idea about how familiar you are with this car versus one with a short history.)

    Do you feel comfortable with doing any work on a car? (Determines if you have the skills and commitment to diagnosis and fixing it yourself. We will need more information to effect a diagnosis and you are the only one who can provide this information ... unless you live within 120 miles of Huntsville AL.)
