That is not good to read. I will try to cancel my order and get them from Nigel domestically.

The problem though is light colors like BP is a toughie to match on plastics. I see mismatched BP on plastic bumpers straight out of factory all the time. Even if you claim yours match, I'll still detect a mismatch ;)

that's true, I agree with you, but mine seems really dark coloured for a blizzard pearl :/

Yeah, if you had SR then you'd have some black trims to go with the black mirror covers but they don't look too bad as is. Bino's Prius has quite a bit of black trims such as SR, carbon fiber hood, etc.

I don't know why it didn't quote you before when I was trying to reply to YOUR message. I tried several times, but it never would...... SO, I intended this question for you, UCSMFU:
Is that an actual trim piece you have on the bottom of your mirror covers? or are the mirrors different in Canada compared to the ones in the US?

I think that is just a shadow that makes the paint below the crease look different...

lol! Well, I tried to upload pictures, but (as you'll recall) couldn't ever find the button to push to upload after our forum made its recent move. Then, when I was finally able to upload pictures, they're all over this new 1mb limit that we have on the forum.... I used to have some software program that was perfect for assigning custom sizes to photos (you just chose how big you wanted the pictures total size to be and it did it.....i.e., if I wanted it to be a 300kb pic, I would just type in 300 in the box and PRESTO!), and I used that program in situations like this. But I haven't had to do that for a couple of years now, and I CANNOT remember what the program was, and I haven't been successful at finding anything by Googling that would be a simple task. The other member who has been resizing some for me for the folding mirror discussion shared that he uses Photoshop (which I own, but have never used). Too difficult to learn Photoshop quickly just to resize photos. I've switched my camera settings to the ones for smallish forum-sized pics, but they're STILL too big! I also haven't had my coilovers installed or the wheels and tires, so it'd be nice to have all that done before I go on a photo-taking binge. I did want to put up some new pics, though, and have tried!

No need to resort to Photoshop for that. Use a photo management program such as Picassa, iPhoto, etc. Easiest way would be to email the photos to yourself from those programs, which automatically resizes the photos.

I use Picasa currently, but could never figure out where there was an option to actually decrease a picture's size, other than the cropping option, which isn't what I need. And, I think if I email a 2MB picture to myself that it comes back the same exact size (in hotmail, which I use)...

Use the export button at the bottom, then select a folder and what size to export it as.

    Help - Resize photo.

So, did you raise a stink about him only refunding $10? Can't believe he would only refund that instead of the $20 or whatever it was that we paid. He's usually bent over backward on everything else I've ever asked him to do!

Regarding how it appears like you have some trim piece on the bottom of the mirror cover, I thought maybe you'd bought the chrome trim for them that I've seen him list on eBay before.

    Fellow Prius Chatters,

Does anybody know where you can get just the plastic modified mirror covers (unpainted preferably)? I want to purchase the Grazio Smoked Mirror LED lights (like the first picture below) but on auto-style.jp they do not come with the covers.

The reason I want them unpainted as that when they come prepainted they are never an exact match. I would just have my body shop use a color camera and get a 100% match. (For instance I recently had the Five Axis Aero Kit installed and the color "Barcelona Red" is WAY OFF and it looks TERRIBLE).

I am assuming from the listing on auto-style.jp website that they do not come with the wiring either. Anbody know where I can get that too?

To me this seems next to impossible but if anybody knows the answer please let me know.

    Thanks,
    tarheelsfan873

^ I would contact MIT (e-bay) about getting just raw covers... it seems like those lights would match up with what we all got. They might even be able to get the wiring harness as well.

If not, just buy the whole kit, unpainted for what 120 and sell the lights to someone.

My seller sent me two driver side mirror covers by mistake. Someone else out there with a Prius probably received two passenger side mirror covers. We have no use for these extra covers so if you can find the other guy (hopefully he's stateside) we can probably ship them to you for the cost of shipping.

My driver side cover is painted rental car black but you can sand that off or paint over it right? black mirrors01.jpg

Yes Nigel, per Toyota Reference 2010- 2011 Prius Black = 202

    Barcelona Red Metallic (3R3)
    Black (202)
    Blizzard Pearl (070)
    Blue Ribbon Metallic (8T5)
    Classic Silver Metallic (1F7)
    Sandy Beach Metallic (4T8)
    Winter Gray Metallic (8V1)

Toyota Prius Paint Codes and Galleries, Brochure and Commercial Archives[/quote]

2011V I am having some issues with a Five Axis Aero Kit I purchased. It seems as though they painted it the JDM color Red Mica Metallic instead of the US color Barcelona Red Metallic. The manufacturer is having a hard time finding info on the differences.

Do you remember the post you read regarding the differences between US Prius colors and JDM Prius colors?

Any information would be greatly appreciated! I want to get this resolved.

I found this website that makes it appear as though they are different:
    2010 US Colors:
    (8T5) Blue Ribbon Metallic / 8V1 Winter Gray Metallic* / 070 Blizzard Pearl / 1F7 Classic Silver Metallic / 202 Black / (3R3) US Barcelone Red Metallic / 4T8 Sandy Beach Metallic*

    2010 JDM Colors:
    (040) Super White II* / (070) Blizzard Pearl / (1F7) Classic Silver Metallic / (202) Black / (3R3) JDM Red Mica Metallic / (783) Aqua Blue Metallic* / (8T5) Blue Ribbon Metallic / (8V0) Iceberg Silver Mica Metallic*
