does any one know how can i change the climate controller motor in a Toyota prius 2006 years modell. The fault with the motor is that it does not close itself even though the petrol engine is off.I hear the sound like a sound of a harddisk in a old desktop pc.Even after that i turn off the start button and taken away key it goes on.After about 2-3 minutes it closes.
I will be very grateful if any body help me identify the motor and how can i change that.If possible give some link (youtube etc) or picture link so that i can identify and change the motor.

Are you certain that it is the climate control fan? If it is the climate control fan there will be air moving out of the vents in the cabin. If there is no air moving out of the vents then you are probably hearing the sound of the coolant transfer pump and/or the brake accumulator pump. Both of these are completely normal.

Thanks Richard for your valuable reply.
I was in the workshop. The mechanic told me that.So i just believed him.But it cost about 1000 $ to change that make me think about the matter.Because it does not sound unbearable or causes any major trouble, I am thinking whether i 'll change it or not or may i solve the problem myself with the help of chatting here in this forum.
Because I hear this sound just about 2-3 weeks i am sure something is wrong in the system. If someone else has experienced the same sound please leave some comments here. Thanks again.

Another idea; was the noise coming from the back seat, passenger side?

If so, it would be the HV battery cooling fan. On hot days, after a drive
at slow speeds or in stop and go traffic the fan remaining ON after the
car was shut down would be normal.

Of course, for this to be the case, the Tech would be completely wrong...
but then this wouldn't be the first time.
