Would I be correct in assuming those are all American made Toyotas?

Thank You. They 'tap danced' around the fact that the pedal sticking problem was from an North American supplier I was worried we were seeing that again.

I do not know the suplier(s), but they are all the same design.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has expanded its investigations into itsChevrolet Trailblazer, and Toyota vehicle master power window switch fires, the safety agency says.
The original investigation included 2007 Toyota Camry and RAV4 models, but now includes 2007-2009 Camrys, including hybrid models, RAV4, and Yaris models built from September 2006 through August 2008; and 2008 Highlander Hybrid SUVs. The vehicles in question all use the same power window master switch.

If I'm "lucky" this can become big enough news that people freak out for no good reason, like the last time (although perhaps this time there is some real science behind it beyond hitting the wrong pedal) and crash Toyota demand just in time for my lease end, then I'll grab another one at bargain basement like I did this time :D

I just hope people will wait for the results before drawing conclusions.
I know... They never do, but there is always a first, right?

Lots of people still think that Toyotas are prone to acceleration issues. Once the media hysteria died down they lost interest and kept the memory only of how unsafe they are. I even have a friend who works as an engineer for one of the big 3 expressing amazement when we got our Prius that I'd put my family in a Toyota. Granted, this was before unequivocally we know the runaway problem didn't exist, but not before somebody with reasonable skills of observation and thought could have figured out the same thing.

Good god I hope not, That last idiotic thing blown way out of proportion almost lost me my job and had me laid off for months because demand was so low for Toyotas. And we didn't even supply for any of the effected cars, just the media backlash that destroyed Toyota's image, cost several people their jobs at my plant, I was one of the lucky ones that got called back. I hope that kind of thing NEVER happens again. We actually still have never recovered from that, demand is still low, we were working 10 hour days and every other saturday before the pedal incident, now we are barely finding enough to do for a 40 hour work week, it's really kind of sad.

Weird that the hi-hy makes the list, but not the Lexus RX-400h. They both ride on the Camry chassis

Its a switch not a platform problem. Lexus does different use many higher quality and different components for things like this.
