Dislike the plastic interior

    I can't believe that some more upscale plastic and padding would add more than 50 pounds to the Prius, it's more about profit than weight, same goes for the ridiculous plastic clips holding everything together! The plant based plastics are those two pieces lining the floor on the front driver and passenger side that cover the electrical cables, and the back cargo floor trim piece.

    I'm sure it would add more, as long it was more than just a few pieces. Again, take a look at the difference between the Prius and CTh FE. Same exact drivetrain. And my guess is a pretty similar chassis.

    CT has heavier independent rear suspension and much heavier seats.
    It is 100-150lbs heavier than the Prius.
    The prius is basically a $15-20K car sold for ~$10 more because of the expensive
    hybrid system. I love it!

    I don't mind the plastic. I think the texture looks cool. Just keep your paws off the dash and don't let any passengers get in your car and it will be fine [​IMG]
