    Hello everyone,

I just purchased a slightly used 2010 prius 2 with 14K miles. It seems to be in excellent shape and was maintained at the dealer for its early life. I got it for $19K so it seemed like a good deal.

I have a few questions. First, when I unlock there is some kind of mechanical noise coming from the engine. What is that? I am also looking into getting leather seat covers. I found the clazzio covers on the board. Are they well made? My wife and I were looking to change it over to leather and I wanted to know if these are just as good as factory installation. Next is about oil. If I put in Mobil 1 extended performance can I just change it once a year? I do that on my honda odyssey but I wanted to make sure that I don't do anything to mess this up. Are the toyota oil filters essentially the same as Fram filters. I always get Mobil1 filters but there isn't one for this car.

Thanks in advance. I am really enjoying the car so far.

Power brake booster (accumulator?) charging up to its operating pressure. Unlike a regular car, brake power assist is not linked to the engine or even the ignition.

You should change oil every 10,000 miles. How many miles do you plan to drive in a year?

Depending when the car was 1st put in service it may have a free oil change left. I think the program started January 2010 that provides free scheduled service for 2 years/25000 miles.
