George Barris King of Kustom Drives a Prius.

    Bisco, you really don't know who George Barris is???
    He is possibly the best Hot Rod design and build king who ruled the world of cars in the 60's and 70's. His shop is off the 101 in North Hollywood, 2 blocks south of North Hollywood Toyota on Lankershim Blvd. Head south, go under 101, next Left take it, Barris Industries is right there!
    He was responsable for the Batmobile, in the Batman TV series in the 60's, The Munstermobile from the Munsters, Black Beauty from the Green Hornet, plus many other really cool cars for their time!

    While George is a character, the real talent behind Barris Kustoms was his late brother Sam who defined what a '49 Mercury Club Coupe should look like

    Thanks KK6PD for your addition and also adding his website. I have been a life long fan of George. My Dad built our first of many model cars the Ala Kart. From about age 5 I was hooked. All the TV shows, all his World of Wheel wacky creations. Big Daddy Ed Roth was also a favorite. George is somewhere around 87 years in age. He is still going to shows and making appearances.
