Can anyone tell me if the installation of aftermarket springs are any different than other cars? I was quoted by a shop that it would cost $400 for the installation of the Eibach Pro-kit due to the batteries in our cars. Does this make sense?

I have lowered almost every car I have owned and paid between $150-$200 for install, never double..

    Thanks for your input everybody!

LOL find another shop. Minus the trim you have to remove its no different than installing springs on a Corolla.

I agree with the above. They are trying to gank you because most people think their car is somehow special because it is a hybrid when in 99% of cases it is no different from a conventional car when it comes to repairs and upgrades.

Due to high shop rates in California I would expect somewhere between $200-$300 for the install unless they are a tiny shop with low overhead costs.

LOL, the extra $200 was for their "hazard" fees. I think you know that they are milking you... i'm quite sure the batteries and strut towers have enough clearance between each other. We both live in So Cal, there's a mechanic every other block!

When working on the rear suspension, it doesn't even come close to the rear batteries ;)

Yeah I was really caught off guard when they quoted me the price. Thanks for the replies everyone.

BTW I don't know if this has been mentioned before, Eibach has discontinued the Pro-kit for Gen II.

    Sidecar,

I believe the front was a 1 1/4 inch drop and 1" in the back.
