I wonder if they will extend the sale to me by Monday? The web site states a $599 price, and I guess to get the "goodies", I would need to talk to someone. THey are not open on the weekends.

Also, this unit is not HD radio complient, is it?

 

The camera that comes with the deal is a larger one with small IR LED's around the lense I would recommend asking for the Toyota Camry these cameras are all hardwired not wireless. Some of the guys on this forum say the Camry one will fit exactly into the spot where the factory camera goes. The one I received for free in the deal is too large so it won't fit but I didn't need it since I already have a factory installed one.

I have not receive my order yet, I just order yesterday, I have not heard the camera is wireless, where do you get that info from? and I do not know the answer for the second question, may be some one already got one can answer this question

 

I got my Ottonavi installed today, here are my thoughts. The radio reception is very bad, my sound would go high and fade away, due to bad reception. The navigation was really slow and I had no reception, worked on it for 1 hour

The DVD works perfect.

Bluetooth had alot of static. Voice was cracky.

When I connected the Ipod, I would only get sound coming out from the right speaker. This is with the JBL adapter.

I would get random shut offs, and sometimes when I turn on the car, the nav won't turn on even when I press the power button.


If anyone knows how to solve these problems please let me know, otherwise, I'm thinking of returning it and getting a kenwood

To be honest, the flyaudio for $499 worked better than the Ottonavi.

Forgot to mention, radio reception was pretty bad 0-2 bars.

Still couldn't get navigation to work, no gps signal.

The user interface is not friendly at all. I'm definately returning the Ottonavi ><

I had the same problem with gps. The sys.txt file had the wrong port listed. You'll have to change it manually. There is a program that will give you the correct settings. Give me a few min and I'll get it for you.

Use this program to to get your gps port and band. You'll have to change it manually in the sys.txt file. Make sure you back up the file first. Save the program on your sd card.

In order to run this program, go to apps, files, on the top go to other then choose your sd card on the bottom row. Find the program and run it. Write down the gps port and band#. Take your sd card out and put in your computer and change the sys.txt file's portion of gps port and band. In under 1 min you'll get a signal.

For the radio, did you change the settings to US? My ipod adapter works fine bluetooth sounds good as well.

The only problem I'm having now is just the bluetooth will timeout on downloading my contact list but then I have over 200 contacts on my list. It stops at 153.

 

I asked for the Prius cam and it shipped with the 09 Camry one that will fit perfectly. Only thing you need to do is bend the clips out a little and slowly on the camera slid it in the where the blank was and push the clips out a little more so its stabler. There is a little gap in the back of the camera so I cut out a piece of plastic that was from my dealer license plate and used the foam strips that came with the camera to hold it in place.

BTW the most time consuming part of this install was the backup cam. I really took my time doing this 7am-11am then took a break then 130pm to 330pm. I got a nice tan doing this install yesterday. The removal of the interior and pushing the wires through the plastic tube took most of the time and also the plastic liner when you put plastic middle bumper off.

 

I only asked if the camera is wireless. I don't have any information to.that point except that there was an accessory shown on the same page that is wireless. It sounds like the camera included is wired.

Yes the free one that is with the promo is wired sorry. And no this unit does not have HD or Sat radio.

 

I just ordered mine today and got in on the July 4th sale. $549 for the HU, External camera and external mike. I hope the unit works well with bluetooth because my Prius BT is a bit weak.
