Has anybody installed a dashkit like this one?

Not yet, but I'm saving up for one. I have installed a couple kits from WOW (got them from carid.com) on other cars. I couldn't decide on which wood to get, so I bought a cherry and a rosewood. Both real wood covered with urethane. I liked the color of the cherry more than the rosewood (personal taste), but the grain of the cherry ran vertical rather than horizontal. (I have no idea why or if that was always the case.) Although I installed these by myself, I wished I had asked for another pair of hands - would have been much easier.

I've personally never been a fan of wood trim in cars. I've never really understood it. But to each their own!

The trim kits don't have to be wood; they can be aluminum, carbon fiber, some color, or fake wood. There's no real reason to install a kit at all other than personal preference. I've always liked wood in a car since I first saw it in a Rolls Royce as a callow youth.

I do love "wooden" look in the car, but I guess it will be a little bit odd for my C4. I want to keep it look sporty, so may be carbon fiber one day, just to make a dash stand out.
Silver wire and Real carbon look great IMHO. Will be a good contrast with black dash and gray door panels.

I did a carbon fiber kit in my 01' Camaro SS back in the day... Save your money and keep it stock IMO. In all honesty, in the end, these kits more often than not detract from the car rather than add to it. But I agree with Ashley, to each their own so...
