According to the brochure you can fold down the front passenger seat. Anyone know how to do this?

Both front seats can be moved to a flat position. The frequent assumption is that they will fold forward like the back seats. Not so. They fold backward to lie flat.

    1. Move front seat(s) full forward with bar under the seat.
    2. Remove headrest using button on side of headrest support.
    3. Recline the seat all the way down. (It may be necessary to move the back seats further back)

Cool, exactly what I was thinking...I am awaiting delivery of a 1o-ft kayak and I am going to see if I can fit in like this. Safety caution I assume tie down needed to prevent load shifting on hard stops.

...if you snake a tape measure in there all the way up to window or down under the glove compartment, somewhere around 10-ft max. could fit in a Gen-2 Prius, assuming the geometry of your object fit hand-in-glove with the geometry inside the car. Prius v...I assume a little more. My minivan maybe could get a 12-ft object. This is for perfect fit, subtract ~2+ ft for bulky item that may not fit perfectly.

I did read on Google one guy put a kayak in up to his front windshield of his minivan, and he broke out the windshield at the first bump driving out of the boat ramp parking lot.

You need to do what I did. We have a Sea Eagle inflatable kayak that can be used as either a one person or two person kayak. It folds up really nice and leaves plenty of room for the dog which we also take kayaking with us. We take our kayak out just about every week in our Prius. We will also be taking it camping with us along with the dog and all of our camping stuff.

Plus another benefit with the inflatable is that it will be a whole lot easier to keep the car clean. You don't have to weary about putting a wet, dirty kayak in the car and across the front seat.

OK well in case you guessed this is not fitting inside a Prius.
But is getting into my minivan, which was my plan.
I'll see how it fits in the Prius as time permits....
but think the back door will have to be open to accomodate.
