Advent Nav unit, how do I change the startup screen?

    I have gone to ADC Mobile website and sent them emails for information to change the startup screen, with no success. Has anyone with the Advent unit been able to make the change?

    Do you mean the opening "splash" screen? Did you buy your unit from ADC Mobile? If so contact them and get access to the customer only support section of their forum. If not drop me a PM. I wound up buying my unit local and having it installed. I could have done it myself, I would have been overly slow and careful.

    I spent the $35 for the Toyota direct fit media link. You can mount the USB and video in jack in place of any blank Toyota plate. I mounted in the console where the aux in jack is located. You could also mount it under the bridge next to the cigar lighter.

    Yes, thanks the "Splash Screen" and I did also buy the unit from a local auto radio shop, so that explains why they have not responded. $35 and all that work sounds a little too much for me to just change the Splash Screen.

    $35 is for a replacement cable with a media plate designed to fit in a standard toyota dash "blank".

    Nothing to do with the splash screen.

    I got it off the thread. Thanks. Do you know where I could find more of these or a way to convert Jpegs into fll format?
