Trailer wiring for hitch / towbar

    Now that the towbar has arrived from the US, does anyone have a good way to tap into the wiring for a trailer plug so I can connect lights up to the bike holder?

    Thanks. I read that a while back and it seems no one wants to ship down this way. I'm not too fussed since we can knock up something from scratch.

    This is what I just did. I found the harness on ebay for a fraction of what the prius harness goes for.

    I ended up buying a proper Toyota genuine trailer wiring kit from a dealer in the UK who sells on ebay since we need more than 5 pins for the trailer signal. It appears that towing requirements in the US for lights are more relaxed than Europe/Australia as we need at least 7 pins/signals to meet our standards. This kit has 13 pins.

    Trying to get a 7-pin hookup on my Prius v. Do you have a part number, link, or anything for your setup?
