    Hello Everyone,
I am new here and just have a few questions. I am looking at buying a 2006 base prius with 148,000 miles on it for $7500. In my area the KBB was $7700. The thing i am not sure about is that the battery had died recently and they purchased a used battery(50k miles on it) to put in it. I saw the bills and it was about 2500 or so to get it replaced. Do you guys think this makes it worth it? I do have a few thousand saved up in case of repairs. Although i would love to have this car last until 300,000.

Let me know what you think!
    Thanks

I think it is a very good buy! Comfortable transportation as well as very efficient. These cars give little problems. H

Knowing the battery has been replaced makes negotiating easier than 150,000 miles with original battery.

You don't want to wait until the last person (other than yourself) says "I bought it"

Used Pri's don't sit very long. If they do, something is very wrong...

At that price, it is worth the gamble.

Package #2 is good. That is what is on our '09. Should have backup cam and SKS too.

Lol yea this place was bad. Good thing I got my car and that's that. The service department is good so if I need to take my car at least I know it's in good hands. Plus I got my revenge when I made them read me the whole contract word for word

Nice! I just picked this up. The only problem i have noticed with the car is the front hood. It is all dinged up and has paint chips. Has anyone had any luck replacing a hood? If so how much did it cost?

Paint on Prius is cheap, easy to chip, really. If you want small things perfect, you better look for used luxury car.
