New owner, Ive had the car about 3 weeks now and drive a daily commute of about 140 miles in LA traffic. My Prius has been great for the commute, saving me about $ 12 -$ 15 a day over what I have been paying driving Infiniti G37 and M 45 for the past 7 years.

This weekend I had to run up to Turloc Ca. on friday and back home Sat afternoon. I left from work on friday near LAX and on Sat returned to my home, total trip in about 28 hr was 748 miles.

The car was great, freeway all the way at speeds from 65 -85 mph, I was able to use the cruise control most of the way and even played with the LKA for a while for the first time. I changed the springs out last week to Eiback Pro Kit (lowered it about 1") and the ride confort and handling was great for the longer trip as well. I ended up with an average 52 mpg, only filled the gas tank 1 time and used a total of 14.4 gallons for the trip. With any of the other cars Ive been driving for the past 7 years or more this would have used at least 3 times the fuel to make a trip like this.

The more I drive my Prius the more I like it!

Before Prius (BP,) we would be at some vacation spot and I was constantly evaluating 'food vs fuel.' I would try to get my wife to 'eat cheap' so we could have one great meal and still buy gas to get back home. I wasn't proud of it but that was the reality. Now, we 'eat good' with one great meal and I don't worry about the gas.

The Prius has improved the quality of our trips and driving vacations.

Congrats on the new ride! Smart choice with the Prius...I can't imagine sitting in stop and go traffic with a "normal" car anymore.

Loving double the range over my old Baja... Day trips to the shore are now less painful...
