I owned my Advanced model PIP for about 4 months now. I recently found out that the AC climate control in my entune app in my iphone doesn't work. Whenever I tried to turn it on, it takes more than 1 min, then finally shows "Climate activation was not successful Please try again".
All other apps such as vehicle finder, charger management work well.
I contacted toyota support but couldn't get it resolved.
Does someone know how to resolve this?
    Thank you!

Is your car indoor temperature set at a lower setting that ODT?

My AC does work, but rarely does the app report correctly. I am on Android.

Mrbigh, i usually turn the temperature at 66 or 67 degree when driving. I turn AC off before I get off my car. What is ODT? Is it setting that i can change?

I just got my PIP, took me a bit to figure this out but:
    • car needs to be locked
    • car temp internal needs to be hotter that outside temp
    • and set point needs to be lower than current inside temp
    then it works

I've been fidgeting with mine to get mine to work also. I had the car locked, the car was much hotter than the outside temperature but I'm not sure if A/C set point was lower than outside temp. I guess I'll try that next! The A/C needs to be on AUTO, right?

AC doesn't even need to be on in the car, it just needs to be set.

Not trying to sound mean, but this is covered in the manual. Basically, if works the same as the AC button on the keychain. So, you can test that way. If using AC on the key fob works. Then open the doors and relock the car, grab your phone and test.

Thank you all responses! This morning after my PIP sit outside at 90F for a few hours, the AC climate control turns on and off as it supposes to. So i guess car indoor temperature needs to be higher than outside for the climate control to work. It would be good if entune can display a message about temperature difference when it does not turn on, so driver could know what is going on.

I totally hear you and I feel like a complete idiot but I read all the manuals, front to back, and STILL have not been able to get the key chain fob to work. last time I checked, I'm a reasonably intelligent person I'm guessing many people are struggling with this. :(

I have mine set to 77. I never use AC. Before I leave the gym, my windows are up and the car is locked. I hold AC on the fob, I can see the parking lights flash once. It makes sure the car is locked and starts the ac.
