    Dear PriusChat Colleagues:

    Again this year, Evan Fusco and I invite you to join us in the PriusChat Fantasy Football League. A number of us who played last year got to know each other a little better and had a great time. A few players from last year will be back and we need several new players. Sign-up will be first come first serve. If there is enough interest, we can expand the league by a couple of teams.

    I have set up a free (but custom) NFL league. As it was last year the league is called "High Voltage Running" and the password is Synergy. The link below should take you directly to the site to sign up. You will need to register with NFL.com if you are not already a member. Its free and easy to do. You just need to create a name for your team and the system will get you started.

    If you have never played fantasy football before, it can be a lot of fun and a good way to make the football season even more exciting. It is also a nice way to connect with some members here at PriusChat. You can spend as much or as little time with your team each week as you want. I’ve found that time spent is rarely correlated with success – but you can prove me wrong.     Absolutely a good time if you're a football fan. Great way to keep up with some of the teams outside your usual favorites. FWIW, my 12 year old son has won the league in the past, I won last year and it's always competitive and fun to watch the game evolve.

    I run one on my forum as well, in addition to this one;-)

    For anyone else thinking about it, this one is not a hardcore fantasy league like some of them are. The draft is automatic. If you are even a little lucky in the draft, you can be pretty competitive just by logging in for 5 minutes a week and subbing out any players who are injured or on a bye week. Beating efusco and son on weekly matchups and good waiver pickups is another matter!

    So you can set your lineup any time after joining the league, before Sept. 1. You don't have to be online or anything when the draft occurs. You can spend as much time as you want with this league. I'm pretty enthusiastic, and will spend maybe an hour a week or so researching and tweaking my lineup. I think we had only a handful of trades last year, quite a few more the year before, but mostly people just pick up players off of waivers. if you're a casual player you can spend maybe 5-10 minutes per week setting your lineup and checking results and still have fun.

    Well it looks like we have the 10 teams now we need. If there are two other people want to join, I can make two more spots for a 12 team league. You can reply here if you are interested and we'll try to get you in

    Thanks for the prizes! We so need to get the winner out of the Fusco household, just don't count on me as I am terrible at this thing, but I keep on banging my head against the wall each week and hoping something will be different....

    Hold tight a bit, the OP can expand the number of slots. Having 12 players would be great as it helps spred the talent around a bit.
