It's been a great 5 months with my 07 Prius until last Friday while running parts for a company vehicle and while at speed the red triangle, the ((!)), the check engine and the warning on the MFD all came on at the same time. The car ran as normal for a few miles and then the ac quit. I drove to Oreilly's and their scantool showed a PO352 code. I have searched the forum and not been able to find anything. They cleared the code and it was ok this weekend. Today I drove it on a 160 mile trip for a business meeting and when I got there the lights lit up and the ac quit. If if stopped the car a while or turned the ac off a while it will work again in a few minutes. I drove the car very conservatively(60mph) and on the way home played with the ac issue till I got within 20 minutes of home when the car got very quiet and lost power and I coasted into a parking lot. I then drove it around the lot on battery assuming it was me imagining things and got back on the main road. No gas engine (ICE?) and I ran on electric till the next stop when I stopped and turned off car. I waited a few minutes and then restarted the car and made it home with no problems except no air. I have it scheduled for a warranty water pump later this week but need to get it back on the road soon. Has anyone experienced this before?? Thanks for any advice.

    DTC P0352 "Ignition Coil B Primary/Secondary Circuit"

Check the wiring harness connector to the cylinder 2 spark igniter. Cylinder 1 is closest to the passenger-side fender. If you don't see any problems, swap the cylinder 2 spark igniter with the igniter for another cylinder to see whether the DTC remains P0352 or changes to another code (such as P0351, P0353 or P0354) which indicates the other cylinder now has the problem. If the problem moves then the igniter needs to be replaced. If the problem remains with cylinder 2 then the wiring harness connector or wiring may be bad, or the engine ECU may need to be replaced.

You can disconnect the 12V battery negative cable where it bolts to the body for a few minutes, to clear the DTC before you do the swap.

Just made it home (AC worked) and drove to O'reilly's for a code check. The mystery deepens as it now has 11 new codes and the previosly mentioned P0352 didn't show up. The new ones are as follows (including duplicates of the same):
    P2401
    P043E
    Po43F
    Po441
    P2402
    P2419
    Po43E
    Po43F
    P2401
    P2402
    P2419
When I filled the tank this morning I did leave it running but I always have. It is a little strange that the original code didn't show this time.
    Thanks again

According to my bentley manual all those codes deal with the evaporative emission system. It appears these new codes have nothing related to the original as that code was a ignition problem like Patrick outlined above. I don't know any more than that as I am just starting to learn about the prius.

    FJ40ocd,

It is generally bad practice to refuel with the engine running on any car (& I believe against the law as well in some if not all states. I think I remember reading a long time ago that if you do not power off the Prius & the engine starts while the gas cap is off, that the car will throw all kinds of codes & get very mad at you because it is checking for a sealed, non-poluting fuel system. It will also get mad at you if you don't have the gas cap on correctly & it senses an air/fuel vapor leak.

Just as a side point, it is possible to overfill the Prius bladder tank, and there are posts on here about that. Just let the fully inserted nozzle click off, and don't try to fill it beyond that point. The Prius II fuel tank is a byzantine construction, and is unhappy if filled up too much.

Thanks for the comments. I wound up taking it to the dealer for the recall on the inverter water pump. The service guys cleared the codes after doing this and it has held up so far after 500 miles. Still doesn't make a lot of sense but I'll keep the fingers crossed that this was the problem.
